What a Wonderful Wednesday we are having today at PlayPaws! We had another surprise visit from The Boss, and she has had a lovely time playing with all our fur babies 💜🐶💜 I’ll do another post specially for Vicky 💜 We would also like to introduce another new face to you all, Tiffany has recently started volunteering and is a great addition to our happy madcap family! The most excellent photographer Jonathan Muir will be returning to PlayPaws on Tuesday of next week (4th Dec) to "mop-up" any pupsters who couldn't make it for the photo shoot last week, and for those who wouldn't sit still last week. If you want your pup photographed on Tuesday let Simon know asap. If your pup isn't in on Tuesday, we can either swap a day for you, or add a day on. Or you could organise a time to bring your pup in just for the photo. Jonathan will be in from 11.30 until all pups are done.

In more uplifting news tonight, Jonathon has now finished all the fabulous doggy portraits and they can be seen on his website. Thanks Jonathon, you’re the best, and I think we will see some very happy fur-parents this weekend!

It is with great sadness that we have found out this week that our first fur baby customer has made her way up to doggy heaven. This is our second bereavement, as not long ago we tragically lost a very lovely human customer very much out of the blue, which came as a shock to us all.
Cinnamon was one of our most longstanding and loyal doggy customers here at Play Paws, having first attended back in August 2015. Cinny, as she was affectionately known by her parents and us at P...lay Paws, may not be known to many of you. This is because she was always afforded special status as fur baby PA to Vicky, which meant she spent most of her time snuggled up in “her” office (and boy would she let anybody know it was her office, human or canine, if they attempted to enter without permission). Cinny was already an old lady when she first came to Play Paws, about 10 years old. During her life, she had metal pins inserted into her legs due to illness, which meant she was not quite as sprightly as some of our younger Springer Spaniels are today. It became a daily ritual for Cinny when she arrived at day care to head straight for the office, and her comfy bed in the corner behind Vicky’s chair. She did venture into the pens now and then, still a Springer at heart, to meet other furry friends, but ultimately, she knew that she was special, and those old bones just couldn’t perform they way they once had.
Despite her advancing years, Cinny did not get to live out her twilight years in peace and quiet. Mummy and Daddy initially got two mad puppies, Mango and Myrtle (M&M) to keep her company. We all know she loved their company and they regularly jumped all over her in the office, before all settling down for a well-earned snooze together. Then, not content with three dogs, (why would you be?), along came Bentley and Beamer, both of whom, along with M&M are still loyal Play Paws customers.
Her age and increasing difficulty in getting in and out of the car, means that Cinny had not actually been to Play Paws for some time before her passing. And whilst she may never be with us again in body, there is no doubt at all that she will ALWAYS be in our hearts here at Play Paws. We love you and we miss you. Our thoughts go out to Ann and Mark, and of course, to M&M and B&B, who will no doubt try their best to keep mum and dad occupied!
RIP Cinnamon. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten xxx

A cautionary tale for you all... this is why here at PlayPaws we always fully assess every dog before meeting the pack, and take extra care with newcomers and how our dogs react to them joining. Today we have loved meeting the utterly amazing Looloo! This beautiful girl was quite nervous when she arrived due to being attacked by another dog as she started at another doggy daycare locally! As with all our fur babies we ensured we took things very slowly and introduced our pack at her pace... with great results! She settled incredibly well and has thoroughly enjoyed herself and impressed everyone here at PlayPaws. To see such a timid pup coming out of her shell is wonderful, and it’s the reason we love being part of such an awesome team! 💜🐶💜🐶💜🐶💜 #playpaws

What a gem of a place! I’m so impressed with PlayPaws!�� When I visited today, I was made to feel extremely welcome by Vicky and her team, and all the excited, happy pooches... they were having a ball!! I can’t wait to see what Vicky has in store for the new premises. She has such a love of dogs which comes through in the passion she shows in PlayPaws. It’s a great place! Highly recommended ��

Thank you so much for everything , Vicky is an amazing trustworthy lady i have meet in along time , i had been called into work had noone to look after millie who is 16 week old grey hound i rang vicky asking if she would be able to help said yes in a breath i really would have struggled today but this lady has helped me out so much so grateful for everything , i would recommend if your every struggling with your dogs to take him/her to playpaws worth every single penny..

Superb ! If there's a better place to take leave your dogs i'd like to see it. Great staff, Great owner and most importantly the dedication of these people is second to none, and that's what makes a TOP day care facility.... all the staff are fully comitted to the welfare and well being of the dogs in their care. YOU WILL NOT FIND BETTER!

Sherlock has been attending Play Paws for four weeks, during this time we've already seen a huge turnaround in his attitude towards other dogs. He has always been extremely apprehensive about meeting new dogs and this was evident during his first session. After collecting him last night, I was told that he had played and joined in with the other dogs for the very first time - I thought it would take much longer. I am absolutely over the moon with the staff and facilities at Play Paws and felt totally comfortable immediately when I first dropped him off. It is clear that the staff love what they do and are passionate about dogs. I have recommended to everyone and I'm sure Sherlock will be a regular for years to come!

Rudy has been going to PlayPaws for a couple of months and she absolutely loves it.



All the staff are so welcoming and even more importantly Rudy always leaves with a big smile on her face!



If you're a dog owner this is THE only place to take your dog to in the Blackburn and surrounding areas.

Ridley has been a couple of times and absolutely loves it ! He loves to play with the other dogs who are all friendly. Vicky and her team are very professional and have everything under control. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Lots of space for the dogs and even comfy sofas for them to sleep on, home from home really, lots of toys and activities too.

Ralph loves going and it is good for him ,comes exhausted and after having his tea falls asleep,its good for us too ,as Ralphie was a recue Dog and as we are older we cant take him long walks with us being older .Great care is taken with the Dogs and they have a lot of fun.

My dog absolutely loves play paws, the staff are so friendly and helpful and I have complete peace of mind when my dogs in their care. The amount of play and exercise my dog gets is great and he is so tired, when back home he goes straight to his bed.

My baby boy loves it here!!! He runs off to play with his pals at drop off & is wiped out when I pick him up from all the fun he’s had. Thanks you to all the fab staff who are so friendly & helpful. I love looking at all the photos and videos of the pack. My dog is my heart and I’d only ever be happy to leave him with people I really trust.... and that’s you guys at PlayPaws.

My Poppy who is 8 months old has been going to doggie day care since 12 weeks. She loves it. It's the only time she pulls on the lead when we pull up outside she is so excited. Fabulous and friendly staff. You just know your pooch will be looked after well. We wouldn't go anywhere else. Definitely recommended it to friends. Poppy loves the place x

My Dog loves daycare and training here , she has improved massively in every aspect, the staff are lovely and the dog trainer is very creative and professional . Highly recommended place.

Millie has been going to Play Paws for 6 months now. When she first started going she would not interact with the other dogs and would just sit there and ignore them. I renamed her 'Millie no mates'. Gradually she started to join in and her confidence grew little by little. Now my 7kg JRT drags me into Play Paws and flies down to get to her friends. (Dogs and humans). She is a totally different dog and this is all down to the brilliant, caring staff which I can't thank enough. Best thing I ever did and would recommend to all.

Jake loved his taster day. He loved it that much his little face was smiling happy. He was lovley and chilled when he got home too, so both of us are happy. Excellent facilities, highley recommended. Jake will be going 3times a week.

Had our assessment today and will be sending my dog here as its perfect. From the moment you meet the staff you instantly feel at ease. We are booked in now once a week. She absolutely loved it. Would recommend Play Paws and their staff very highly.

Had a fantastic day with my Labrador. He's had some reactivity issues and the Playpaws dog behavourist, Paul, was fantastic with him on his one to one session today!



Felt very comfortable and confident leaving my dog with both Vicky and Paul.



Looking forward to getting our younger more playful Labrador involved with the doggy daycare sessions!

Fantastic! Exercise and brain training all in one go. Staff are very welcoming, dogs have loads to do and someone to do it with, lots of space for free running as well as equipment for agility and training. There are ben sofa's and beds for when they've had enough and need to rest! All dogs appear friendly and sociable. Me and Percy can't wait until we go again next week. Its so good to know that this place exists and Percy can have doggy company, training and lots of fun when I'm at work all day. Excellent value for money!

My wife and children went for advice and to get our pet trained.



All they got was negative opinion on the breed of our dog by the lady owner. Saying he is not perfect and should have him neutered.



She was very rude and abusive before even knowing our pet. They were made to feel unwelcome paid in cash and asked for receipt and wouldn't give them one Asked for refund and got part refund but overcharged for a single session.



Everything that was said was confrontational by this lady.



We will not be going back.

Customer service is rubbish very rude, don’t waste your money and time I’m sure they’ll be much better places around

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Very judgemental manager to say the least, uncomfortable throughout the session as Hugo was referred to by his ‘breed’ and ‘that’ instead of his name.



We were made to feel uncomfortable because of the breed of our dog.



The manager was incredibly unprofessional and made rude comments towards my dog and family.



DO NOT TRUST WITH YOUR ANIMALS.



You would think this would be the best and most friendliest place for your pet, well it’s not, very disappointing indeed.



Would never recommend this place to anyone especially if you love your pet like I do, please find somewhere else it will definitely be better!
