About Plumstead Community Market At St Mark'S
A local market for local people.
Plumstead Community Market At St Mark'S Description
Plumstead Community Market is run by Art Plumstead and features stalls from local artists and tradespeople, and often live music and entertainment too. The Market is free to enter and takes place monthly but not during the summer. All money raised from the Market goes back into other community events that we stage.

The dates for the Community Markets that will take place during autumn 2019 have been added to the calendar here on Facebook. However, please note that no bookings or allocation of stalls at these Markets will take place before August. Then people, who have taken part previously or have expressed an interest in taking part in the future will be contacted by email. At that time we will also make an announcement here, asking for anyone else to contact us that has an interest.
Another thing keeping us busy over the summer is helping to organise a week of international music across Plumstead from 21st until 27th July inclusive. If you are interested then you might wish to visit and like the Facebook page dedicated to the week so you are kept up to date as it develops. https://www.facebook.com/pg/PLUnkSE18/pos ts/?ref=page_internal
Despite the rain, rehearsals for the "Community Market" scene in the Art Plumstead Midsummer Pantomime took place last night. Let's hope that the weather is better on Friday 21st June at 7.30pm when the actual performance takes place.
A big thank you to all of the stallholders, Market visitors and Facebook followers, who have supported Plumstead Community Market this season. As usual, we will be taking a summer break and will return on Saturday 21st September. Enjoy the summer and do remember to support other local events, especially the Plumstead Make Merry that takes place 3 weeks from today on Saturday 8th June
There are around a dozen traders at tomorrow's Market, who weren't with us last month, and one of the newcomer's is Claire's Upcycling.
Here's John's refreshment menu for Saturday's Market.
Your skincare and bathing requirements will be adequately catered for at the Market on Saturday, with both the Kitchen Chemist and ALDA by Jonalda in attendance.
Plumstead designer/maker, Emma, will be one of a dozen traders at the Community Market that weren't with us last month when she joins us this Saturday.
Kim Ward, author of the Pickles & Friends series of books for children will be with us on Saturday with all of her titles and associated items.
The Gourmet Sausage Maker will be with us as usual on Saturday, giving you another opportunity to buy the best sausages that I have tasted in years.
Gill and our friends from The Bread House will be along on Saturday with their wide variety of breads + buns. I can't recommend them highly enough.
With no Phil outside the Hall on Saturday 18th May, we do have Arty Farty Plaques & Signs filling the space, along with something a little different - The Bonnie & Rose Bar.
Bonnie & Rose will be joining us in their quirky VW campervan bar. They will be serving a delicious range of Eco friendly drinks including, Flawsome who turn unwanted wonky veg into deliciously perfect fruit/veg juice and Nix & Kix who create amazing natural, low calorie drinks with a cayenne kick. All of their fine chillies are grown in Bedfordshire.
Although Phil is away on a cruise (!! - you've been buying too much) there will be 3 Vintage & Retro dealers inside the Hall on Saturday 18th May. Gilly, Big Girlz Blouses + Sue's Vintage & Collectables.
