We’ve had a full house today hosting an Afternoon Tea in aid of MacMillian Cancer Support. Thank you to Catherine for choosing us to host such a worthwhile event raising funds for a very worthy cause. We hope you raised lots of money . Here’s a few snap shots of the day 💕

Wow I dont know where to start! Maybe with a BIG Thank you for helping make our wedding dream come reality.

Beccy, Kitty, Lisa and every single member of staff were fantastic.

Beccy and Kitty kept the spreadsheet control queen as calm as they could on the Thursday and Friday before the wedding. They asked me what all the bits and bobs were for and took all the set up from me (this was something I was stressing about and having enough time to do everything). They did a fantastic job making sure the whole venue looked spot on and using the little personalised bits we had brought along.

Not living in Boston any more I stayed at the Poachers the night before with several family members and we all went for dinner and drinks at the Red Lion in Bicker, we were looked after here too with fab food (a great selection of craft gins which if we weren't being good for the following day would have tried more).

They say the best coordinators ensure the day runs smooth and if anything is going wrong it is behind the seen and no-one knows about it, well if there were any issues we were certainly not aware of them!

Food: Past all our expectations! The quality of the wedding breakfast and the buffet was sublime. Many guests commented that they have not had food at a wedding that good. At no point was anyone ever hungry..... this is even more impressive knowing how much my now husband eats!

The service was very impressive, in a very timely manor and very polite.

I really can not recommenced this venue but also its fantastic staff highly enough.

Would just like to say how Fantastic New Year's Eve was. We had my daughters wedding there in May and were so impressed that we decided to do New Year's Eve at the same venue and we were not disappointed , absolutely fantastic night, well done to all the management and staff for the awesome service and food etc. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Well I saw my daughter married on Saturday 10th June just gone. Well it was fabulous the whole experience the staff Lisa we cannot thank you enough. The food was absolutely wonderful many glowing comments from guests . All went so wonderfully smoothly and we had a magical day and we just smiled all day. So pleased we chose you thank you .

We would like to say a massive thank you to Lisa, Becky and every single member of the friendly staff at the Poachers for making sure our whole wedding was exactly what we had hoped for, they made sure all the planning and the day itself ran perfectly and nothing we asked of them was ever too much. The venue looked absolutely perfect from top to bottom, the food was excellent and tailored to exactly what we wanted, all staff were fantastic, all guests said their rooms were brilliant, the honeymoon suite was beautiful and to finish it all off the wedding breakfast the morning after was unbelievable. Exactly what all in attendance needed after a fantastic day and night! We couldn't recommend the Poachers enough and we would just like to say a massive thank you to all involved again!

The whole place was wholly for the wedding party for the day which is not something that most venues like this do!



We were also lucky to have stayed overnight in one of the most comfortable rooms we've stayed in. Basic but very comfy bed.



The buffet breakfast was also very nice.

We had the pleasure of attending the wedding of the lovely jaimie and simons Andrew's here on 10th june 2017 the venue was beautiful, the food was amazing, the staff were lovely, would definitely recommend this venue

We had our wedding reception here on Saturday 18th July and it was amazing! The room looked fantastic with everything laid out perfectly. The food was superb and nothing was too much trouble for the staff or Sue to sort out. We had a perfect day and enjoyed staying over with all our guests! Thank you to the Poachers!!

We had our wedding here 6th December 2014 and it was truly amazing , it was everything we wanted and Becky, Bev , sally and Connor as well as the rest of the staff made the whole day run smoothly . The food , venue and atmosphere was beautiful and will give ourselves and our guests memories to treasure , would highly recommend ! X

We got married here three weeks ago now and everything was just a dream, right from the start of planning Lisa did everything, she told us timings and made our day run smoothly, the venue was absolutely beautiful, and everyone said the food was the best they have ever had at a wedding! We wish we could come back and do it all over again! The honeymoon suit is incredible and everyone else said how nice their rooms were, lisa and the team couldn’t do enough for us and really put us at ease on the day! You’re the dream team! The food is incredible and was just one of the highlights with our guests. The whole team at the Poachers made our day so special, it was a perfect day in the most perfect venue. Thankyou to sue and ALL her staff at the poacher country hotel for all there hard work for making my daughter Emma and her husband Tom a wedding day to remember... it was such an amazing day the food was delishous the venue decorated beautifully, beautiful bridal suite the bride looked stunning the groom handsom the sun shone as photos where taken in the beautiful garden area.. family stayed the night in the ensuite rooms an the buffet breakfast was hot and plentiful.. special mention to kitty and bev for looking after us nothing was too much trouble and no doubt lots of other staff behind the scenes to make our day so special x

Thank you so much to ALL the staff at the Poachers for making our charity event ( mad hatters ball for addenbrookes) such a success. From creating the welcoming drinks and quirky puddings to dressing up and getting into the spirit of the event, all contributed to an amazing evening. Lisa made my nerves about booking the date to the actual day stay as calm as possible, her and the team with her on the day were fantastic. Such a wonderful day despite the horrendous weather.

Our day flew by so smoothly and we didnt have to worry about a thing on the day.the venue is just amazing , rooms are fantastic and the bridal suite is beautiful � and the breakfast the next day was out of this world.
