About Pojang Korean Street Food

Pojang is authentic Korean Street Food: simple, delicious and convenient.

Pojang Korean Street Food Description

Gimbap (sometimes spelled “kimbap”) is a staple food in Korea, both North and South. The dish shares its roots with Japanese Sushi, and also closely resembles it: it’s basically a giant sushi roll.

The ingredients used are far more varied than sushi, however, and most varieties include no fish whatsoever. Most gimbap rolls include egg, pickled radish, ham, spinach and carrot, plus either tuna, cheese, chicken, or Korea’s own fermented cabbage dish, “kimchi”. The list goes on and on, however, the only limit being the imagination of the cook - “yorisa” in Korean.

We also serve all our rolls with a generous pot of kimchi, another staple of the Korean diet, and a popular and deliciously addictive chilli sauce known as “gochujang”. In Korea there is no one way to eat this food - mix and match, enjoy yourself!
