Dear all, thank you so much for your support but unfortunately the tough world of second hand book selling has proven too much for us, so Polyculture Books will cease trading at the Elephant & Castle as of this weekend....come down today or tomorrow to grab a bargain! I May be around Sunday too but most likely will have packed up by then. A sad day but some great memories!

Had a great day at the stall today, many thanks to our customers, suppliers and patrons for helping us do what we do....and a massive thank you to our Aspie Book Lady Julie making it all work so that I can spend time doing silly poses....(Aspie being short for Aspergers, a frame of reference for Neuro Diverse people on the Autistic spectrum)

Oh dear that Beryl Cook will bring this business into disrepute with her innuendo! Got a lot more very eclectic stock in at the moment (always exciting to have a bit of Asimov)... Plus window dressing courtesy of the marvellous Eileen Perrins and her calligraphy pen (Happy Birthday Ma!)

Shifting to the lower gear of operating just four days a week means we can concentrate on the important things; improving our range of amazing second hand books, and hanging around trading rhymes with friends...

To celebrate our stock of music books, business books and books with rude words I'm going to open up the stall with some hiphop beats for an open book stall cypher....from 2pm tomorrow (Sunday 31st Jan) Come catch vibes and some great reading material!
