We are plastic reprocessors, recovering and recycling clean rigid plastic scrap from manufacturers and other commercial businesses and putting it back into UK manufacturing.
Polymer Industries Ltd Description
Polymer Industries Ltd was set up to provide a quality-driven solution for recycling and reprocessing waste or scrap rigid plastics, predominantly from businesses across the UK. We source suitable clean, single-stream plastics for recycling, and we process and convert them into quality re-usable raw materials that are then used by UK manufacturers to convert into new products. This reduces the need for virgin plastics, which is both a sustainable and environmentally beneficial solution that also provides cost savings for manufacturers, without compromising the quality and integrity of the finished article.

This month we've invested in; a new industrial pressure washer, a large industrial bandsaw, a table saw, 2 circular saws and a reciprocating saw. We've also designed and had fabricated a new bespoke mobile valve sack filler and a working platform for our shredder (see photos). By the end of the month we hope to take delivery of our new shredding and granulating line which will double our current capacity. We have a busy few months ahead!
Low oil prices are seriously impacting upon the value of recycled plastics, and the differential between prime materials and recycled has been significantly reduced, making it much more difficult to develop new outlets for recycled plastics. We specialise in processing high quality, clean post-industrial grades and are still offering good quality materials at competitive prices. Please get in contact for more details.

Processing PET preforms today
Today we had a delivery of 7.5 tonnes of scrapped bottle preforms from a Devon drinks company. This is now being sorted and processed at our facility in Wrangaton, resulting in clean plastic granules that can be used by UK manufacturers to make new packaging products.
Today we were visited by Gary Streeter, MP for South West Devon. We gave him a guided tour of our processing facility and he took great interest in our operation, in particular the fact that we are turning someone's waste plastics into the feedstock material for new products, and also creating sustainable employment within a manufacturing sector in a rural area.
