Ponteland Community Middle Soon To Be A Primary School, September 2020 Description
We are an ‘outstanding school where children thrive’ [Ofsted 2008, Ofsted 2013] and continue to develop the school with our Student Voice, Parents’ Forum and Governors. KS3 children have said they 'feel they have developed as people'; Ofsted said the school 'permeates positivity and calm' and that Y5 children make rapid progress so when they reach Y8 their attainment is well above national average [Ofsted 2013] . Our pupils say that they like to be fit and healthy and that is what makes them happy which makes our Sportsmark accreditation so important to everyone. You are welcome to browse around our new website and contact me if you would like to meet, chat or have a ‘real-life’ tour of school. Dr Caroline Pryer

Year 5 and 6 knocking out a few shapes on the dance floor!
'After another successful year of completing a range of sports the Giants club attended a bouldering session at Climb Newcastle. There really is no sporting activity that these talented students can't turn their hand to,' writes Mr Walker.
Mr Davison, Mr Storey and Miss Brownlees accompanied the School Choir to First Avenue Recording Studio, Chillingham Road on Wednesday 10th of July. Pupils and Staff recorded a version of Mr Davison's original song " Build you a Boat" which was a massive hit at the school concert. It was a fabulous opportunity to become a recording artist and they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves, even singing outside the studio to the public.

The dodgeball team’s final match left the superstars unbeaten! What an awesome achievement for an awesome group. 2 years commitment to training has paid off! Very proud! Miss Peach
A great finish to the season for our girls' tennis stars with their first team win. There has been lovely sportsmanship present throughout all their competitions and the girls should be proud of their progress of the season. Well done! Miss Peach
Today we are thrilled to announce our unvalidated Y6 KS2 results released this morning. You can see our assembly this morning reflects the children's immense pride! Huge congratulations to the children, parents, staff and community for their focus, tenacity and resilience.
More pics from a memorable evening - they really made the grade!
So throw those curtains wide, one night like this would see me right! Our concert last night was an incredible success.
Year 6 students and staff had an AMAZING day at Tynemouth on Friday! Ice creams were devoured, pods of dolphins were spotted and many, upon many buckets of water were thrown over Mr Crane, Mr Baggett and Miss Thurrell's heads! The children's conduct was impeccable with our favourite ice cream man again commenting on us being his favourite school to serve! Thank you to all involved for this special, sunny, seaside day!
Year 5 having fun in the sun at Bamburgh, Friday 28 June.
Yesterday, we had the pleasure of taking 36 students to the Northumberland School Games. The children excelled in all of the events including: volleyball, handball, quad athletics and hockey. Every team came 1st or 2nd place in the county which is a fantastic achievement! Mr Baggett, Mrs Nixon, Mr Walker and Miss Embleton were incredibly proud of all of the children and were delighted to see each and every one of them leave the event with a medal. Well done, Team PCMS.
