We were recommended to give Ponti’s a visit which we did this Valentine weekend. What a great place with a lovely friendly atmosphere. The food was beautiful and well presented and the staff were so very attentive. We had or have no complaints whatsoever. We will definitely be back to eat again! Go..Enjoy! 👍

Great ambience. Excellent service. Top quality food that is priced accordingly for the standard. The drinks are on the expensive side and be aware a 10% service charge is added to your bill but I’d still rate the place 5* and would return again.

We had a lovely family meal and will definitely be going back

I have to say .. we only went in for a couple of beers , me and the mrs .. we got sat at bar .. a long marble bar , overlooking the chefs that were cooking all the food , really close up and open plan , it was brilliant to see how they did it , and them working together ... so ... we ended up eating there cos it was too good to turn down , the food was really good , and we saw them making it from scratch ... recommend it to anybody , sit at the bar and see how it's cooked !!

I have been to Ponti's a few times, and I have never left disappointed. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is warm and inviting and the staff are friendly and helpful ... what more could you ask for. The food is a bit pricey, but to be honest you get what you pay for.

Have become quite a regular at Ponti's over the last few months. That is myself, my Wife and family members. Each time we go if it's for breakfast, lunch or evening meal we are always greeted warmly, treated friendly by professional staff, fed gorgeously and always leave more than satisfied and looking forward to the next time we go!

Having worked in many similar environments myself over the years I realise it's not an easy task pleasing everyone but I find all at Ponti's extremely professional and courteous at all times which makes every occasion a pleasure!

Had a lovely Meal for 13 of us we were placed upstairs and it was nice and spacious. The staff were very attentive especially as I had a broken ankle. They straight away allowed me to use the lift. They didn't rush us we all enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. Would definitely go again.

Finally went for lunch today after wanting to try Ponti's since it opened. It was a really nice atmosphere and the staff were very welcoming both to adults and my four year old son. All our meals were perfect; my asparagus risotto and the deep fried courgette were to die for. Desserts looked delicious but we were too full on this occasion; the portion sizes are generous. As a vegetarian I was impressed by the range on the menu and can't wait to return to try different meals. The pricing is on the upper end but you get what you pay for. Over all I'd recommend.

Fabulous place. Have had breakfast lunch and dinner here. Have also had work functions in the upstairs for 30+.

Good food and service every time. Would highly recommend. Their tirimisu is the best I've ever tasted even in Italy! Go, it's great!

Been here lots of times, the food is lovely but we visited last night for a friend's birthday and at just turned 10.15 the staff started mopping the floor around us, there was a smell of cleaning products and then get turned the full lights on before we had even paid our bill. Not good considering how much is charged for food and drink.

Bank Holiday Monday morning called in for a coffee. Had to wait about 10 minutes before menus were brought out another 10 at least before order was taken. Girl had a job to understand what we wanted to order. Not difficult a regular flavoured latte and a large latte. Only had vanilla as a choice of flavours. Partners latte wasn't very warm.Staff very pleasant but dread to think how they would cope if it was busy

Went there with my ball to my chain on Valentine's day last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. Booked in advance this time and was excited as per. On arrival we was given an end table next to a what I can describe a drafty stable door. And then once placing my once lovely sculpted arms amongst the table it decided to wabble. And then.... My significant others chair arm was very loose. And to top it off no lovely decorative rose and candle light in the middle of the table. As the male i felt pressured to show my dominance and very assertively request politely that either we'd be moved or arrange for the lack of atmosphere to be remedied. The waitress I couldn't fault, she was very tentative and brought over the required features, the hero of the night in all honesty. Then there was the food......starter was the meat and bread platter in Italian writing, was fine, imagine morrisons deli counter. The main I had ox cheek, more like frozen roast beef from Iceland. My squeeze had breaded chicken, basically an oversized chicken dipper, not even birds eye either. As you can imagine no dessert was to follow. I paid, we left, took a picture of fountain outside then home. It seems as they've gained popularity they loss that authenticity and care. Shame cos it was beautiful last year.

Been here a couple of times, first time ok, second was abysmal. Called at 9am to ask what time last orders for food were, and were told 10pm. Arrived at 9:15 for a table and were told they were no longer serving food. The waiter approached (I’m assuming) a manager working in the kitchen and never in my life have I seen a grown man of his big age lose his sh** in spectacular fashion like he did. Arms flying around, tea towel yanked off his shoulder and slammed to the counter.

I decided I didn’t want that man to be remotely involved in preparing any of my food, so I took my business elsewhere.

Control your chef’s attitude, it’s distasteful and brings down the atmosphere of the place.

I gave it two stars, and they’re both for the poor man who had to play messenger between us and the manager.

food is ok it's fine or what we had was fine but it is way way over priced for what it is.

The food and prices don't go together I've had way better especially in sheffields best Italian restaurants and paid nothing near this over priced place.

Also 10% is added to your bill for service.

Says it's optional but it's also automatically added.

I for one will never set foot in this place again.

It certainly won't last for long with the mega overpriced menu.

Do yourself a favour go to Kias on Abbeydale Rd or Vito's its way better.
