Ooh this is an exciting job opportunity!

Please keep up to date with the UK's participation in the Pet Passport scheme if you are thinking of traveling with your pet after Brexit. Hopefully something will be put into place so that dogs are not facing days in quarantine but I thought it was worth making you aware if you are traveling next year. If I see any more up to date news I'll post it here as I find it.

Remember how important incorporating fresh vegetables into your dogs meal... just take out a bit of their food (whether that’s dry kibble, raw, had and half...) and add a variety of fruits and vegetables. Studies have shown that this simple act can reduce the incidence of cancer in our beloved dogs... worth it hey! If in doubt just double check what your dogs can eat!

Monday morning quick tip - remember to reward your dog even when they are doing nothing... sometimes this is the exact behaviour we are looking for!

Have you got a new puppy this year? Chances are they haven't experienced fireworks yet - this seminar will give you lots of advice and tips to help you to prevent any fear developing in your dog. Just drop me a message if you would like a place on this workshop - can never have too much help with your dogs is it!

User

So excited to tell you about this fireworks seminar I am running with Vets4Pets Harrogate on October 10th at 7pm. This seminar is not just for clients of Pooches Galore or Vets 4 Pets, Leigh-Anne and I are just so keen that dogs are not suffering this autumn/winter if we can help it!
This seminar is for both owners of dogs who are fearful of fireworks and I would also recommend this if you have a new puppy who hasn't experienced fireworks before.
If you would like to book a place please let my self or contact vets4pets harrogate directly. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Socialisation: it isn’t all puppy play https://poochesgalore.co.uk/…/socialisa tion-it-isnt-all-pup…

User

This is a pet hate of mine (do you see what I did there?) - dogs are not public property and the owner should always be asked if the dog can be stroked whether you are an adult wanting to say hi to a dog or more importantly you are teaching your child to be safe around dogs!

User

Loose lead walking workshop tomorrow morning, 9.30am - let me know if you want some help stopping your dog pulling on the lead!

User

This video is a really important one if you have an over friendly dog or a dog who really needs their own space because they are reactive or because they are fearful. Please spread this far and wide to ensure as many people are able to see it as possible. If you have a reactive dog this will not fix the problem, just help you get out of the problem situation. I can help your dog feel more comfortable so give me a call and lets help your dog enjoy their walks again!

User

Do you have a rescue dog? What a fab bag to win if you do!

User

So when I asked what you all wanted videos about barking seemed to be the one that came out the most. I can't do a catch all video about barking as there are so many reasons and stimuli that dogs bark at but hopefully this video will help you understand the training behind barking. As always questions and comments below!

So... what are our new services...

Dog training in the rain should not be this much fun! Well done polly (oh and her owners!)

User

Our new range of exciting courses to help your dog with day to day life!

User

We’ve used Kim a few times now and she is great. She helped us with our first dog who was afraid to leave the house; and we attended her puppy classes with our 15 week Cocker Spaniel - the classes are fab, not only is it great socialisation for the puppies but it’s also high quality training. I would have no hesitation in using Kim again or recommending her.. Thank you!!!!

User

We've had a rescue home visit and intermediate dog training with Kim and she's given us so much confidence with our new dog. Although we've owned dogs before, the training and advice given by Kim is by far the best we've ever received and is all very easy and simple to implement and keep up. Despite only having our dog 7 weeks, we have made so much progress with her and bonded really well. Very much recommended!

User

Thanks Kim, for a fantastic course. Millie is now off the lead as we have walks together. The course was really helpful giving us confidence to train Millie and give her a positive experience.

The sunny weather really helped too! As we were outside... we will continue to recommend you.

Thanks again Karen

Stanley learned so much at his first puppy class last night and is having great fun doing his homework (far more than I ever did in my school days) - thank you Kim. We're both looking forward to our next session :-)

User

Only one session so far and already I have an ‘almost’ perfect lead walker! What a difference! No judging, just clear honest advice and guidance in what works in real life situations, not just in a hall xxxx

User

Link loves kim and knows when it's training day! If I take too long to get ready she starts whinging! I am learning how to be a much better dog owner! Link is two and we are still learning lots of cool stuff! Thanks Kim!

User

Kim trained me to train my dog Ripley a feat that 15 years of schooling couldn't achieve!! Top Lady!

User

Kim is fantastic. One of my dogs became super nervous of people from being over fussed and Kim made me realise that it's ok we'll get there just small steps. My dog is like a completely different dog it's amazing. She has helped me so much I cannot tell you. Now he's a year old we are still going to her training classes because they are good fun and you learn something new each week. Until you try kims methods and the way she works you'll never understand what a great trainer she is. I wouldnt recommend anyone else. If you want to see results you'll only get that from using Kim!

User

Kim is amazing, our the little puppy wouldn’t settle at all at night and using the suggestions provided we all had a good nights sleep. Can’t wait to sign up for puppy classes when Austin’s a big older

User

Kim is absolutely brilliant. We had a few things we wanted to improve with our boy Duke, three years old, the guidance and advice Kim has given us has really worked! She took time to get to know all three of my dogs and is always there to answer any questions we have had. Would recommend her without a doubt!

User

Just had Kim come to our home for a 2 hour 1 to 1 session and meet our pup Reggie. Found it absolutely brilliant and really helpful. Kim was really informative and could answer any question we asked (which was a lot).

Reggie loved meeting her and so did we as the whole time was so relaxed.

Already booked him onto the puppy socialisation classes and cant wait for them to start.

Massive thank you Kim couldn't be happier. We cant wait to put into practice what you taught us.

User

Just completed Kim’s puppy training sessions. She was brilliant, full of ideas even with my super excited and exuberant dog. Had a great time and will return for more.

Many thanks Kim

Nat and Willow

If you are considering booking a class with Kim I have no hesitation in recommending the classes. With a rebellious non food driven puppy I had some reservations but after the first class was utterly convinced in Kim's Dr Doolittle talents. Calm, fun and informative classes, we have come away with the confidence to carry on with all the training. And Crumble has a certificate! V proud. Honestly, if you are thinking about a class with Kim just do it.

User

I'd been looking for a dog trainer for some time. I'd heard bad stories of trainers using dominance techniques that I was just uncomfortable with. A friend recommended Kim at Pooches Galore who's training was positive and logical and meant we made huge strides with our dog. Happy to recommend her to anyone.

User

I have the most active, lovable and well trained spaniel you could imagine. All thanks to Kim at Pooches Galore. Thanks Kim.

User

Happy New Year Kim!

Is it 7.30 tonight?

User

Frankie has just completed the 6 week puppy course with Kim @ pooches galore and we have all really enjoyed the classes. Would highly recommend as we have learnt so much. Will definitely return for some other classes in the new year x

User

Brilliant! We approached Kim earlier in the year to help with a few issues but the main one was to help with our cockapoo that had separation anxiety, if we shut our front door he would continuously bark and scratch the door!

Kim took the time to understand our situation and also Alfie (who loves her treats)! Kim helped us understand his behaviour, she then gave us a detailed plan to follow to train Alfie that it was ok to be alone! Kim always answered any questions I had! Alfie is now un-phased by the front door shutting and we don’t hear a peep out of him, we are now building up the time he spends on his own! Would highly recommend Kim!!

User

After only two 1-1 sessions with Kim and my little Patterdale Terrier Gus, he has come on leaps and bounds, I can't wait for future sessions. thank you so much Kim! X
