Beautiful location. Some friends and I camped here over the weekend just gone and we had a great time. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended!

Such a beautiful site with views of the downs and walks along the river (which the kids loved swimming in too!). Perfect for families and such friendly and helpful owners. We ve been back twice already..highly recommend.

We had a fantastic, chilled time here. We loved all the space meaning the children could play freely while still in our sight and that we had a little corner of our own without being pitched on top of other campers. Great pizzas, decent pub nearby, no silly rules about gazebos or fires and welcoming helpful staff. We will be back next year.

Me, my partner and 5 year old son have just returned from a weekend camp at the pop-up campsite by the river. Being the seasoned campers that we are, this time it was a treat to leave our tent at home and on arrival to be shown to our allocated bell tent - and what an absolute beauty it was! How lovely to sleep under the natural canvas fibres which create a lovely light and mood, making it a magical haven if you do need to beat a hasty retreat from a sudden downpour. The site itself is stunning, with camping set around the perimeter of the field leaving a good, open space in the centre with an unmarred view, peppered with oak trees. A perfect area for kids to play, giving them a sense of freedom but still in a safe environment.

The wooden loos and hot showers are super clean, well-stocked and as my son said "they smell fresh!" So much nicer than the plastic port-a-loos, common at other campsites.

Friday night had the delightful addition of being able to order a wood fired pizza from the very cute Camp & Deliver retro van or a cocktail from it's sister van, the Poosie Nancy. Both of which I can recommend! Jules and Tiz manage to strike a great balance of being helpful and friendly but also allowing you to just get on with the important task of relaxing and soaking up the peaceful ambience that they work so hard to create. They obviously love what they do and that passion can be seen in their attention to detail and thoughtful touches. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay here and would heartily recommend this campsite to anyone.

The first time i stayed at this site i was a first time camper and came on my own with my daughter age 6. The staff were fantastic, helping me to understand what I needed to bring and also providing a comfortable, clean bell tent, fire pit and everything I needed to light the fire. On arrival they took great care of us and helped us to get settled. We had such a fantastic time, enjoying the site, surrounding area, extra special things that the site offers like delicious pizza on a Friday, and bush craft skills workshops. Throughout our stay there were always friendly staff about to chat to and make us even more comfortable. I love this site and think that it is especially well run. So much so that I came back with a large group to celebrate a friends 40th birthday and again experienced a great amount of help from the staff before and during the stay. We had an awesome amount of fun kayaking, paddle boarding and taking advantage of the cocktail bar on the Friday! Tomorrow, I head back to the site with my daughter and 2 other families in tow and we can't wait!

Great location for a campsite but poorly run. My friend and I paid £120 for a shepherds hut and couldn't sleep a wink.

The site had been hired out to large groups, one being a hen do, who played loud music and chatted all night metres from our hut.

I emailed the owners once I got home and they seemed to pass the blame onto me for not complaining to the warden. We didn't do this as the warden knew there was a hen do playing loud music 50m away from him and obviously should have done something. Further emails to the owners were ignored.
