Next week is Afternoon Tea week!
Our afternoon teas include a variety of freshly prepared sandwiches, cakes and scones and are £12.50 per person. They must be booked at least one day in advance (we appreciate more notice for larger groups). Vegetarian options available and we do a smashing gluten free afternoon tea as well! Call or DM to book or for more info.

Tonight we shall remember the start of the Great War - WWI - The War To End All Wars!
Here is a pair of pictures of my Great Grandfather Cecil Stride, his medals and also his war diaries from 1914 (written in tiny, almost unreadable worrying in order to save on the paper I expect).
fortunately Cecil returned from the war without any major harm done. His brother (Great Great Uncle Stanley) wasn't so lucky and was killed as result of a gas attack in his trench sometime during... the war..I am still on hunt for a picture of dear old Stanley.
We will remember them all! both those in. the forces and those thousands civilians who lost their lives on the home front!

Happy Norfolk Day! We have fresh dressed crabs, Nelson cake and a wide variety of Norfolk products on offer! It’s a bootiful day! Come on over!

We had a lovely time in Thetford, filming an interview with Alexander Armstrong for a Dad's Army 50th Anniversary! We will post an update letting you all know when it airs!

Norfolk Day is on its way! This Friday, we will have some of our favorite Norfolk inspired lunch specials and cakes on offer. There will also be a variety of local products and crafts for sale outside and a Norfolk military history display.
In addition, we will be holding raffle! For a chance to win this fantastic hamper of Norfolk goodies (worth £50), pop into the tearoom on Friday and buy your tickets from the counter or gift shop. Tickets are 5 for £1. Drawing will take ...place at 3:30pm on Friday July 27th. Winner will need to collect the hamper at Poppylands. All raffle proceeds will go to Friends of Horsey Seals
