Congratulations Cecilia for your brilliant achievement of running the Half Marathon for Porridge and Pens. Thank you so much for choosing us as your charity. We know it is close to your heart as a sponsor for Girl Power. Raising nearly three times your target in just a couple of weeks was amazing. The money you have raised will go a long way to support our projects in Ghana.
Is it too soon to persuade you to join us at the Ghana Marathon next year? 😆. Maybe we should let you get your breath back first!
Today Cecilia is taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon for Porridge and Pens!

UPDATE:*** GREAT NEWS. Alice now has a lovely new sponsor***
We have many other children looking for sponsors. Please contact us if you would like to hear about them.
Alice Opoku has recently joined the school and is in the nursery class. Her father, Kwabena Opoku, has sadly passed away so she lives with her mother, Ruth Opoku, who is a petty trader selling small items at the side of the road. It is hard for her mother to make ends meet as a single parent so they are very... happy to have been offered a place at the school whilst we look for a sponsor.
If you would like to sponsor Alice at £7.50 per month to ensure her education, two meals a day, medical cards and vaccinations please let us know. You will receive regular photos and updates of Alice.

Could you spare any time to help us? Would you like to join our fundraising committee?
Every year we need to organise several fundraising and information events throughout the year to raise money for our projects. We are looking for anyone that would like to join our fundraising committee and/or help us at events. We won't take up your time with lots of meetings and those we do have we hope to have over a pint at the pub! If you are interested in a way of helping the charity then we would LOVE to hear from you. If you can't attend the meetings but can volunteer for even one event a year then that would also be great.
What an amazing thing to do with your lives. Actually changing the lives of lots of families. In awe of you all.
