A selection of dishes we enjoyed from Borda Berri a tiny food bar in San Sebastián.

We've eaten here before, but last Sunday was the first time we've experiened Sunday lunch - I have to say, it was the best Sunday lunch we've ever eaten in a pub/restaurant! The blade of beef was amazing, and the guinea fowl was just the right dish for me - not too big, but fantastic flavours. The Port Gaverne Hotel is our new favourite!

User

We've been visiting for the last 4 years. We stay in Port Isaac in a cottage and walk here most days for a drink & or food. The atmosphere, the friendly staff and the exceptional quality of the food will keep us coming back time & time again ❤️

User

We have been here for Christmas lunch on a couple of occasions which has always been fantastic, but our meal this evening topped that by a mile. Fabulously cooked fish dishes, beautifully presented and delicious desserts and cheese board. We are regular visitors to the area so we will most definitely be back. A big thank you to your very attentive staff too!

User

Visited for evening dinner three times on our October break 2017 and again last night April 28th 2018. The ambience is amazing, staff helpful and friendly, food as always superb, beautifully presented fantastic flavours, will be back when we come on another visit to this amazing part of Cornwall!

User

Such a lovely little place. Loved the hotel. The staff were wonderful and made us feel welcome. We stayed 2 nights. So relaxing. Clean and comfortable with a pretty view from our room, great meals and we want to come back!

User

Staying opposite we were delighted to find the local listed as one of the best pubs in the country. It certainly did not disappoint. Friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Beatitiful fresh local seafood cooked to perfection. Worth the drive from lancaster alone just for the fresh lobster. Would recommend to anyone and looking forward to our next visit.

User

Stayed at port isaac for 2 weeks and popped over to port gaverne hotel most days for a pint of CPA I can't think of a better place to sit back and relax in stunning surroundings. Staff were lovely very friendly a credit to you.

User

Really superb. Food and staff both 5*. Not long after sitting, we were told that there was a delay in the kitchen. Complimentary bread and oils were brought out to us but in any event the delay wasn't too bad anyway. The waitress told me others had been really rude.

Food, when it arrived, was superb. The kitchen know their beans. Nice chat with the waiter at end of the evening when it transpired that he lives a few hundred metres from us in Delabole.

Staff all very professional and clearly enjoy their work. Food up there with some of the best eateries in the area. Not bad when you consider that includes Nathan outlaw, Paul ainsworth and Rick Stein!

User

Pilchards....what a place! When we saw the Menu we were a bit sceptical, but we shouldn't have worried! Absolutely amazing food! We will be back next year, dinner outside promises to be amazing with that view. 5* service, 5* food, 5* location....

User

It’s good to revisit this 17th Century Hotel / restaurant Always great food and views.... check it out!

User

I loved this place.it had so much character and Jackie the owner really made us feel welcome. Infactt everyone who worked there were really friendly. Our Room was cosy and beautifully decorated with really luxurious bath essentials. The restaurant food was outstanding and the ambience was perfect for the setting. I am definitely going back especially as they are now adding a brand new brasserie can't wait. The hotel is situated well with fab views too.

User

Fabulous! We are regular visitors to the area and realise we are surrounded by great restaurants but having read an article in Barefoot Cornwall thought we’d give this one try. The food was amazing, lovely staff and a cosy atmosphere. Will definitely be booking a table for our trip in the summer!

User

Dined here twice this week and the food cannot be faulted. Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff, great beers and wines and very good value on top of that.

User

Been meaning to stop by for a while...so glad we did, just for a quick cider or two this time, but we shall return...Friendly staff fab location, And the young man behind the bar, even said hello in the evening whilst walking to Port Issac.. Good to be remembered.. We shall return for a meal soon..

User

Amazing food... we had the fixed price menu, just 2 courses out of the three on offer, for lunch. The food was lovely, sympathetically prepared and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the service was attentive but not intrusive. The beer was well kept and the choice of wine good. The food currently has 2 rosettes but I'll not be surprised if it gets a third - well done guys, we'll definitely be back!

User

A two night stay with our pet pooch. We were all made to feel welcome from the point we stepped into reception. There is a coffee machine in the room for caffeine lovers and the pub is right on the bay so those early morning dog walks a real pleasure. One very small note, parking is limited at the hotel but wasn't a problem for us. There is additional parking provided away from the hotel. The food was gorgeous and plenty of beers on tap. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks to everyone for making us so welcome.

User

A fantastic Mother's Day meal. First class food and so tasty. The portion sizes were fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed every bit. We had a very comfortable stay at the hotel and we couldn't have had nicer staff. All very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Looking forward to another visit.

User

Weather was fantastic, what made the scene feel very tropical. we had ordered 'takeaway sandwiches, what was obviously local Caught fish. Unexpectedly the sandwiches came packed in a cardboard box, that was obviously too big for a couple of butties. inside was two sandwiches, plus a good amount of salad leaves and crisps too finish off. Good for the traveling tourist.

User

Loved the service. But car parking is not very good with only 9spaces and if you can’t park you have an overflow up a steep hill at sister hotel stargazy
