Popped in for a quick lunch. Typical quaint, old English building furnished accordingly. Sat in a small terrace area with views of Port Gaverne and the sea. We had the best sandwiches ever served with salad and chips. The bread was a lovely, crusty artisan bread (I had a goats cheese and red onion chutney filling) the salad was fresh and crunchy and the chips were well cooked and not greasy as they so often are. Lovely! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
If you want crowds noise and general hubbub then forget it. Port Gaverne is a nice quiet little cove. Great place to get away. Hotel is excellent. Food and beer both brilliant. Once been never forgotten
Wow wow wow fab fab fab. Everything was perfect. The parking was a bit of an issue but that really ISN'T the fault of the hotel. Just wanted to put that as an advisory note. Ambience, service, food (well worth the prices), the room (room 4) and the bed, all top notch. A massive recommendation and huge thanks to everyone at Port Gaverne.
We went for lunch and were delighted with the whole experience. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and attentive but not intrusive and the atmosphere was lovely. The beers were well kept and the wine list seemed good. I'll definitely be returning.
Incredible food that came in an amazing speed. Would return as it isnt too expensive for the quality of food received + amazing desserts.
Lovely location and a very nice bar wit friendly staff
Nice little pub with a separate area for dining. We went for food and were not disappointed. Excellent service... Really friendly.... Prompt and attentive. I had the roasted squash soup for starts which was very tasty and the half lobster for main which was a little disappointing but the fries it came with were outstanding (i know a good chip). I sampled the walnut brownie for dessert which was a solid effort but for me a brownie should be gooey and served warm.
Dined there Wed 22nd Feb. Absolutely stunning all round. Food exceptionally good and the service was excellent too. Will eat there again Friday before we head back home.
