Our New A La Carte menu has been under development for a month now and is almost ready to launch 👍🏻, Every menu we bring out takes months of planning , development, tasting , saucing the best possible local produce , ensuring flavours are balanced, and listening to comments from our lovely customers . This is by far my favourite restaurant. I've never had a bad experience here. There is always something new on the menu to try and the service is always great. I recommend it all the time to everyone of my customers.

Thank you for an amazing steak night. Had lunch here a few times and really enjoyed it but steak night was incredible. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked even though we all had different cuts and cooked from rare to well done. Superb. The service was outstanding and Jane was lovely. She deserves a medal for putting up with my husbands banter. Apparently making the best coffee ever.

The atmosphere was very relaxed. A truly fabulous evening.

Surprise dinner for our anniversary, absolutely fantastic meal. Steak was amazing, beautiful presented with just the right amount of sides... Nothing overboard no gimmicks.. Bakewell tart for dessert �, no words to describe it.. Service was great, quick, very friendly and very responsive to what you wanted... Overall absolutely brilliant.. Keep it up and will be back

Porterhouse was recommended to us ages ago by a friend and I so wish we hadn't left it so long to visit.

Both me and my wife had the Jurassic steak (on the recommendation of the waitress) and I can honestly say, it was the by far the best steak I've ever had......and I've had plenty!!



Can't recommend this restaurant enough.

The food was fantastic and the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you.

If you appreciate a good steak then this place is a MUST!



Apparently they do a fantastic Full English and Sunday Lunch too so we'll definitely be visiting again soon �

Lovely family meal out on Thursday evening for the steak night - all right there was 7 of us and some of the food had run out which was slightly dissapointing as part of our party had wanted those cuts of steak however on the whole it was lovely night, the service was great and my steak was cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend. Thank you!!! X

Just been to steak night at Porterhouse for first time. OMG!!! Was definitely one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. We both had Jurassic steak and it was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Gorgeous home made chips and peppercorn sauce followed by the best ever peanut butter cheesecake! The best meal I’ve had anywhere in a loooong time. Staff lovely too. Already booked to go back. If you’re a steak lover and you haven’t been yet you’re missing an absolute treat.

Our latest visit was for Sunday lunch on the 11th March. The food was amazing, the service was brilliant and they have Sam Adams beer on draught ( which is my boyfriend’s fav ).

I also like that they give an opportunity to the young local people to have weekend jobs to earn some money and gain confidence in the work place but also keep to a very high standard.

The chef, the kitchen staff and the serving staff all work very hard and are an absolute credit to the restaurant.

Great food and customer service , the service was so great due to me travelling from the south of the country I was delayed and they even stopped open to serve our food , all in all fantastic place and would definitely recommend it to others.

First time here tonight... despite booking just a few days ago we weren't written in the diary, however, thankfully we were squeezed in. I was a bit apprehensive as usually I would check out a menu before I got to the restaurant as I'm not much of a meat eater but I couldn't in this case. My boyfriend and I ordered from the Christmas menu - I need not have worried, there was a really good choice. The starters were lovely, for main my boyfriend had rib eye and chips, the steak was done to perfection. I had spinach filo pie which came with a 'tarragon cream', I can only describe this sauce as heavenly, buttery, deliciousness and the pie was really tasty. For dessert we both had the lightest cheesecake we've ever had. Despite the niggle at the start I can't recommend this bistro highly enough. We've booked again already! Big mention to the two girls front of house - they really looked after us.

Fantastic food as always quality at it's best and the staff and customer service is always the best too no complaints only praise for this place

Fabulous food. The steak was beautiful and tasty and tender., lovely home made chips and salad. Really enjoyed it and the staff are very nice and friendly too. Definitely going back and recommend to family and friends.

Celebrated my friends 50th birthday here on Thursday night, we had an amazing time! The food was cooked beautifully the staff are so friendly and helpful and the venue is excellent. Highly recommend porterhouse ! We’ll be back .

Came for breakfast this morning, amazing, we both had the slimmers breakfast, best breakfast I've ever had, the best quality sausages and bacon and everything else was cooked to perfection, staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to return, already booked the ladies Christmas lunch!

Called yesterday for steak night ,,, and all I will say is out of this world ,, home cooked chips and steak cooked how I asked for it

Best restaurant in Notts , Sunday lunch is AMAZING ! Steak night AWESOME ! the Staff are so friendly , Aimee, Leslie ( makes the best Yorkshire puddings in the U.K.) & David are superstars ! I almost don’t want to review the place as I want to keep it all to myself !!!!! 10* **** 5 is not enough !

Amazing!!! Our first time here today for a birthday party. Beautiful place furnished to a very high standard. Beautiful food, cooked just perfect (the chef is surely a magician!) and the Staff are extremely helpful and can't do enough for you. Will definitely be back.

Amazing place. Very cosy and food just out of this world. We celebrated my husband's 35th on Thursday night. The place was packed and staff was rushing around making sure everyone is satisfied � definitely recommend it and we will be coming back to try rest of the menu. Thank you to all the staff. We had a great night!

Called on spec 12 noon Saturday expecting to be able to get a meal, but all tables were already reserved. We sat outside in the garden where we had a lovely meal, quickly served.

The steak was wonderful, cooked to perfection. We will definitely go again And this time, book in advance .

We went in on the steak night (wednesday) but we weren't told that it was an exclusively steak only menu which from over hearing other comments from near tables was an issue for them as well. We were told we needed to book a table a month in advance as it filled up fast but the restaurant was empty at 6:30 when we arrived and hadn't improved when we left at 8.

Both our steaks came out overcooked and when I sent mine back (blue) which came out medium-rare at best i was informed the chef says it is cooked blue but he will cook it less, how can you even say a steak is cooked blue but say you can cook it less. when it came out it still wasn't to my liking but was at least close this time. It was a shame as the meat itself was of good quality however the chef just seemed to be letting down the experience
