Visited porters the other day for the second time must say it won't be the last, lovely restaurant, decor lovely, staff helpful and friendly but most of all amazing fish and chips, delicious, there's also a great selection of teas and coffees and delicious looking cakes unfortunately because of a very filling meal couldn't find room for afters (the waistline will thank me) all in all very satisfying will definitely be back

The staff are very helpful courteous and polite the food is absolutely gorgeous we have been a few times and will certainly be going again

I had the quiche with chips and salad which one of the lady staff laughed at lol But that's how I like it!

Only thing that lacked was sat waiting for someone to take our order but when it did happen all staff friendly and jolly and served very quickly

Took my friend here for his birthday as it looked clean and quiet. To be honest the food is very poor quality and very over priced for what it is! My daughters meal that was free might aswell been the left over scraps it was the bad and my jacket potato was the worst I had ever tasted with a thimble full of beans and a few leaves it cost nearly ┬Ż5. My friend however enjoyed his meal but at nearly ┬Ż13 for a pensioner special it was again a small portion and expensive.



To be honest if my son had not been hungry and required feeding I would of left and found something better value for money

Overpriced and overcooked. Was told I couldn't have 'a pushchair that size' (twin pushchair) in the restaurant, I'd have to leave it by the door with the babies in. The people on the table next to us asked which pot was salt and which was pepper, the answer they got was 'I don't know, try them and see'. Won't be going back and wouldn't recommend to others.

Just been for lunch will not be returning.

The manager would not give me the owners contact details so I could make a formal complaint and then came from behind the counter while she was in the middle of serving a customer, put her hands on my arm trying to remove me from the premises because the staff member I was making a complaint about was her daughter. We did not finish our meal as the staff member was talking about us to another member of staff and were staring over at us while we were eating.

Shame really as usually the service is very good!

Got takeout from here the bag was so covered in grease it nearly ripped on us then get home go to eat it and half the chips were raw
