Went here for 1st time last night,staff were super super friendly and food was delish,was surprised at portion sizes,I thought they'd be smaller,not that I'm complaining,Deffo be back again ���

Went for my wife's birthday and she had prawn and crab cocktail followed by turf and surf. I had lobster ravioli and whole lobster. Whole meal and experience - fabulous. All the seafod was cooked to perfection, well done to everyone.

Visited last night for drinks and impressed by friendly bar staff. Alex served us and she was very polite and friendly... made our night with friendly and efficient service. Will definitely come back and will try the restaurant as Alex recommended the food highly.

Tremendous evening, the staff are excellent, very helpful and knowledgeable about the food, that made a big difference to try something a bit different. The food is 'spot on' as usual, cooked exactly as I liked it. There were special offers on the 'cocktails', well you just have to try, don't you. Fabulous

The best place for food and cocktails.. Staff are amazing and always go the extra mile.. The seafood platter is something else.. And my kids always leave on cloud 9 cos of the staff xx

Had two course meal and could not fault it myself and husband sat in tha bar area and were served our drinks and meal from our table by friendly staff what more can you ask for . We will definately return .

Came here as second choice but was an inspired decision I had lobster and prawn gnocchi and it was wonderful would highly recommend here very friendly and great staff

Amazing food all the time. Personal favourite is the lobster burger. Nothing is ever a problem for the staff as they cook the food fresh every time. Love it !

We visited tonight for my parents wedding anniversary, we didn't book so ended up in the bar area rather then the restaurant but that was fine we didn't mind. You have to go and order your food at the bar which would have been fine if the bar staff were capable of their job, I think ordering 3 means and 3 drinks must have taken at least 10 minutes. The bar maid just didn't have a clue. Asking someone else this, someone else that. She just didn't seem to know where a single meal was on the till which built up a massive queue behind us. Then pouring our drinks she stood there having a good chat. I think it massively let my opinion of the place down.





The food was absolutely amazing, couldn't fault it. We had main means and desert and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Would recommend it for food wise but not for service .

I walk from Ford Estate to Portobello Shore a least 2 to 3 times a week in the morning not only to keep fit but to enjoy a latte and toast for only £2 .50 excellent value and service to match will try the full breakfast next time looks good

Had a table booked for 8 last sat for my hubbys birthday wanted to try somewhere different to our usual, arrived early so sat in the bar, on arriving we stood at side of the bar where the barmaid shouted over if you want served u need to come around to the front! Our table wasn't ready till nearly quarter past 8 were we then waited nearly a hour for our staters, we had to shout a waiter over to check where they were as no one seemed to be checking on our table, when they eventually arrived no complaints about the food it was really nice, after our starters we waited a good while for our mains and had to again ask where they were, when eventually did come out my dads plait got sent back 3 times as it wasn't what he asked for, when his eventually arrived correctly he was eating by himself as the rest of the table me my Mam and hubby had finished ours, overall really disappointed with the service, we travelled from Hebburn after seeing lots of fab reviews on the Sunderland foody facebook page, food was good no complaints there bt really let down with the service!

We visit here regularly but was not impressed this time at all . My partner steered at the bar , he ordered a starter and a main I wanted soup to start , then calamari (which is a starter ) fries and cheesy garlic bread for my mains , the bar man was confused taking the order with me wanting a starter for my main .Starters came and we ate them , we waited over half an hour and had to ask where our main courses were , they came ....without the calamari , my chips and garlic bread were gone before the calamari came , spoilt our meal !

Been here many times before it changed to Portobello shore and never had a bad meal always great service but yesterday was not so good .when we arrived I notice there was a baby shower on and the bar area as busy . ordered our drinks and food no problem .our starter came then we waited a hour for our food .I notice that no food was coming out to the bar area only going through to the baby shower .the staff just keep walking bye no explanation or apologies .when I complained then he said sorry we r busy .well it wasn't with us then a few more customers started to complain.i was about to ask for a refund then our food came .can I say the soup of the day took us a wail to figure it out what flavour it was my husband left it .my meal gamberoni in a garlic and white wine sauce. The prawns was cold and the sauce was a brown colour with tomatoes in .which I have never had like that .so all I can say if u see it's busy in there don't go in .
