birthday meal ! we booked a table of 17 all the food served was excellent as was the service the cocktails up stairs were fantastic. we were almost put off by some of the bad reviews they have been given. i am so glad we didnt let this stop us going our meals was fab from start to finish we cant wait to come back thank you to all the staff for such a lovely meal.

Myself and the girls came last night for the Cheese and wine night. The food looked and tasted fantastic. The lovely 6 wines were very good, the host was amazing and throughout the evening made sure all the guests had everything they needed! The icing on the cake was listening to John Burke too! great atmosphere, me and my friends will defiantly be coming to the next event, can’t wait ... well done all ��

My sisters organised my baby shower here. We had the venue all afternoon and it was amazing. The staff were fantastic nothing was too much and the food was incredible. Would highly recommend this venue for any private events. Thanks so much.

I've eaten here twice now; once in a group and once with my husband. The food on both occasions was fantastic! Beautifully prepared and tasted amazing. The staff were extremely helpful and kind and made our dining experiences feel really special.

The cocktail bar upstairs is brilliant! They really know what they're doing and the barmen are very chatty and good fun too which really gives it the personal touch.

I highly recommend Portofino for drinks, food or both! I'm looking forward to my next visit already!

Had a fantastic evening here to celebrate my birthday with a party of 24 of us! The staff were AMAZING, the waiting staff, the chefs, the owner, the cocktail waiters & the bar staff all made us feel incredibly welcome & gave impeccable service. The food was amazing value, beautifully presented & absolutely delicious! The bar atmosphere was so much fun, great music, fab friendly hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble. The cocktails were divine & happy hour made them fabulous value! We would not hesitate to book up again!

Didn’t have food but was upstairs for the happy hour and all cocktails were a fiver. Tried several and the skill of the barmen and their patter was extremely entertaining! One of them even made me my fave cocktail of Long Island Iced Tea which wasn’t on the menu. Chatted to Caroline, who runs the restaurant and bar too, and she’s lovely! Will be returning for food soon!

Lovely decor, unlike anything else locally. As we waited longer than expected for our table we were given a complimentary bottle of prosecco with our meal which was a nice touch. We all agreed that the food was tasty so shall certainly be coming back. Good atmosphere & didn't feel rushed to leave, which often happens as we tend to natter long after we've eaten!!

Downside was that one of the guys who works there (or maybe manages) thinks it's ok to leave his car on the pavement outside the restaurant blocking the pedestrian access to the zebra crossing for more than 20 minutes. And yes he eventually unloaded 3 items but he could have put his car in a different place and still unloaded. Just shows a lack of respect.
