What a great little place! Found this place purely by accident and so glad we did! Delicious varied menu with great two course for £12.95 deal. Service was excellent and really nice place.

Went with friends we chose the specialità menu. All the dishes were delicious. The fish was fresh and very well cooked. Service impeccabile l live in ltaly and l think that that this resteraunt is the nearest thing to ltalia that l have found. Grazie per l ascoltò

Went to Portafino today for lunch with a friend we both had Pate to start homemade the best ever tasted . We both had different mains both fantastic then we shared a cheese board and port what a culinary delight. Not a first time visit for me I have always so pleased with food drink and service. Fantastic friendly staff can't wait to go back again x

Went for lunch today 3 adults,2 children and a baby and cannot believe how fantastic the place was the food was delicious all home made very reasonably priced the service was out of this world our server (Irish girl) could not do enough for us desserts were to die for will definitely be going back there great authentic feel about the place would definitely recommend �

It was Easter Saturday and we decided to go out as a family of 5 about two hours before our booking. When I rang the guy was friendly and fitted us in no problems!



We had garlic bread to start which was lovely!



Then five main meals a mixture of the pasta choices, risotto and a calzone. My dad complimented the calzone saying that it was filled well and unlike other calzones he had ate elsewhere found that there was less dough and more substance which is great! My pasta was lovely - really flavoursome and delicious!



The staff were attentive and friendly! The prices are decent and great portions too! We will definitely visit again in the near future!

Had a lovely meal here at the weekend . Bruscetta with prawns to start delicious and linguine with king prawns chilli and garlic wow loved it so tasty and plenty of prawns too ! House wine also very good ��! Nice restaurant and staff especially the young blonde lad who we had a laugh with!

Had a fantastic evening at this Italian restaurant. Food was fantastic. Staff quick efficient and really friendly. Even when we finished our meal and asked if we could finish our evening with drinks in the courtyard outside. They carried them outside for us and made sure that our seats were dry and we had everything we needed. They even kept popping outside to see if we needed anything more drinks coffees. My friend did feel a bit cold and one off the staff went and got her her own throw to wear. Sorry I don't know names. Presseco head not working by then. To all the staff at the portofino restaurant thankyou for making our evening so enjoyable. We Will Be Back.

Fantastic from start to finish. We booked for a table of 16 for my wife's 40th birthday meal. I cheekily asked for discount and was pleasantly surprised when I got the bill. Well done portafino and all the staff. We will be back!

Fantastic Italian food and great atmosphere all at a very reasonable price. There was a party of 8 of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

A first time dining experience for me at this venue....but it won't be the last!

Can honestly say the meal we ate last night was one of the nicest we've ever had!� It may not be the cheapest restaurant but you get what you pay for - the food was gorgeous and the service was really quick. Would definitely come back.

Booked for a surprise birthday meal for 6 people and was not disapointed. The restaurant was lovely and the food was great! I would definitely recommend the chorizo and meatball spaghetti as it was delicious �. The food is reasonably priced and they have a good selection as well as drinks. The staff were very helpful and polite. Definitely worth the visit! Thank you portofinos !

Went hear last night starters where out of this world. Mains well mine was delish cheesy garlic bread an wedges we shared yum too everything was grate bar my partners meat was horrible with grisle running through it waitress couldn't apologise enough took it off bill an offeref free dessert. Fantastic customer service an we both left stuffed regurdless of meat complaint. Defo visit again thank you xxxx

Great food ,best pizza ever and amazing red mullet fritters to start,shame the waitress looked so unprofessional and a single question like do you have a good etc ,and the other side the young waiter was so pleasant and really friendly,been there so many times but that must have been the quickest ever for a Sunday lunch time ,please sort out your waiting on staff and keep that lovely food going

Honest post: arrived at restaurant without a reservation on a Thursday evening about 7:30. Asked for a table for 2 and was told it would be a 20 minute wait and that we could order a drink and sit at the bar. The restaurant was half empty and could see plenty of available seating areas for two, did think maybe people had booked in at same time and they where waiting for said people to arrive? After 10 mins we where seated at one of the tables available and ready 10 mins ago (is this a way to get you to buy more drinks? It felt that way!).

We ordered calamari and olives to start, they arrived at the table within 5 mins (good job as very hungry). Mains where two pizzas, they arrived about 15 mins after starter, again very speedy. Food was standard, pizza was not what I was expecting, thought it would be authentic Italian thin crust but base was quite thick, tastey tho. Young lad served pizzas and asked if we would like pepper or cheese, I replied yes for pepper, off he went to fetch it or so I thought, he must not have heard as I watch him do other things for 5 mins. Got the attention of the female staff member who apologised, served the pepper and also offered chilli oil. All together there were 3 staff on the floor, one who was serving at the bar, she looked like she had been called in last minute as she had a tracky top on, leggings and trainers? Anyway we finished our food and bottle of wine and asked for the bill. It came to £55 placed cash on plate and waited for it to be collected, waited a while and nothing, wanted to leave so had to take the cash up to girl at the bar as didn't want to leave it at the table. No other people arrived to sit at those empty tables, what was the 20 mins for?

My experience take it how you will but you asked for feedback which is good to improve in the future.

Booked this online for a birthday celebration. They ask when booking if it is for a celebration so I expected the table to have a balloon or something on with birthday but sadly nothing at all and it`s not as if they had a special/reserved table for us.



The good was good but not exceptional and unlike other places they offered nothing free or a discount with it being a birthday.



The staff were attentive but after we had placed our orders another member of staff would then ask what we would like so they need to speak to each other more as this happened a lot of the course of the evening.

It's NOT an authentic Italian restaurant as it says to be.

None of the chefs are Italian and I've found it worse than the franchises over the road...Pizzas were the worst ever eaten, with such a chewy dough, clammy cheese and a tomatoe sauce tasting like those Dolmio jars...Not worth the price either being a pretended Italian restaurant

I went here a few months ago, now I know this review is late however after hearing about my friends similar experience last night I now feel like I must share!

In my experience The service was awful, they forgot my starter, the waiter wouldn't stop talking about how many hours he'd worked.

I ordered seafood pasta for my main, as the waiter set it down he began explaining about how there may be cartilage as they used a different fish this time! Never I'm my life have I been to an Italian restaurant where they serve skate, cartilage and pickled cockles in a "Linguini alla Pescatore"

In hindsight I should have complained however I'm not one to make a fuss and if I'm honest my night was completely ruined and I just wanted to go home. Not only this but we spent a small fortune that night in this restaurant only for me to feel physically sick the following day!
