Did you know...... Although Trinity College in Cambridge claims to be the Birthplace of the dessert Eton Mess, the pudding actually dates back to 1691 when its first form was has always been a simple combination of cream, egg yolk, sugar and vanilla, topped with a disc of hardened caramel which needs to be cracked through to access the dessert.
At Trinity College the crest was burnt into sugar on top of a custard using a hot iron (which is still on display at the school)..........!

Did you know.......... Halloumi is a Cypriot semi-hard, unripened brined cheese made of goats and sheep milk, and sometimes cows milk...Demand in the UK has surpassed most other EU countries apart from Cyprus...!

Did you know............
Eton mess has been around since the 1930s' when the delicious combination of either strawberries or bananas was mixed with either ice-cream or cream.
Meringue was a later addition.
... An Eton mess can be made with many other types of summer fruit, but strawberries are regarded as more traditional.
There are mentions of the pudding first being mentioned as long ago as 1893.....!
Ours isn't that old, it is fresh, fruity and 'Eton'ally mouth-watering..!

Did you know...........
That Fontina is an Italian cow's milk cheese. Although made throughout the year, the best cheese is obtained during the summer when the cows are moved to an altitude of 550 to 700 metres and fed only with rich grass to give it a distinctive aroma......
Taste for yourself with our Italian flatbread option....!

Good afternoon! Welcome to one of our sample menus!
Whilst we will strive to maintain consistency, there may be a small bit of recipe tweaking to reach as near perfection as we can!!
We really hope you like what you see, and we will always welcome any comments or questions, just hit the "Send Message" button below the cover pic......
... Typically we would aim to rotate our menus each week, maybe with a bit of a mix and match along the way!
