Positive Pooch Description

Hi, My name is Zora and I confess I am a total canine addict! I have over twenty years experience of handling dogs and a life-long love of lurchers and hounds. I am passionate about our dogs' well-being and fascinated by their incredible ways. I get a kick out of seeing canine-human relationships flourish.

I use modern, positive, force-free methods that focus on understanding dogs' communication systems and their individual needs. My aim is to sensitively help the humans work with effectively with their dog, strengthening their bond, improving communication and ironing out each dog’s ingrained reactions within its own particular context. No two situations or dogs are ever the same and there is no ‘one size fits all’ recipe.

I will spend the time and effort to analyse, research and plan a strategy that works for you, your dog and your lifestyle, offering consistent, non-judgemental support along the way. There is no ‘quick fix’ when working with real animals but I strive to bring patience and understanding to my clients and help them to do this as well

I have a qualification from the International School of Canine Psychology and continue my studies there in canine behaviour and psychology and emotional healing for dogs. I am registered as a friend of the INTO Dogs Association and am fully committed to our code of practice. I am trained in canine first aid, fully insured and have a clean DBS certificate. I am happy to share copies of my certificates with clients if they wish.

I currently volunteer at Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare doing kennel enrichment which I absolutely love! I have also worked voluntarily with the Brighton & Hove Retired Greyhounds Trust, RSPCA Patcham, and Street Hearts BG in Bulgaria. I am currently fostering and rehabilitating a street dog from Bulgaria for rehoming in the UK. Oh, and I previously worked as a dog walker for The Dogs Frolics in Brighton too!

I would love to meet you and your dog – whatever the nature of your inquiry, please do get in touch.
