About Positive Youth Foundation

The Positive Youth Foundation provides opportunities for young people to reach their full potential.

Positive Youth Foundation Description

The Positive Youth Foundation provides opportunities for young people to reach their full potential. We work with those living within challenging circumstances in a highly targeted and bespoke manner. We believe that every young person has the right to achieve, and base our work upon a philosophy of mutual respect.

Our grass-roots research and delivery enables us to support young people and advocate on behalf of the youth and community sector.

We work with like-minded organisations to help build capacity and resource.

Our strap-line says it all. we work with young people, taking them beyond engagement and towards positive lifestyle choices.

We aim to raise aspirations – so we use creative education, mentoring and bespoke programmes to work with young people and partners who are most in need of our support.

We almost don't want to post anything else but Royals! So we're not stopping just yet. We want to #ThrowbackThursday to just two days ago when we welcomed TRH's to PYF.
This time, we're going to treat you to a video!

We loved welcoming their Royal Highness's the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to Positive Youth Foundation this afternoon.
Their Highness's were shown around our delivery centre at Yardley Street before the Duchess spoke to a group of young people about mental health whilst the Duke headed to our sports and music area.
James Ogundare, 18, spoke to Prince William on his visit.
... He said: “He was a genuine guy, he enjoyed our games and I was telling him he would take it away with him. I wish he could have joined in but he didn’t want his suit to rip! He enjoyed our energy. That’s why all of us come because this is who we are.
“We had to tone it down a bit so Kate could hear. We were excited and nervous but the excitement took over. We were just ourselves and relaxed.”
