Jonathan Roberts is the Liberal Democrats candidate for Postlebury ward for Mendip District Council

Jonathan was born in Somerset, and returned to the county in 1997 with his enjoyment of caving in Mendip. He is married to Jacqueline, and has lived in Wanstrow for 17 years, within the Postlebury ward. He is Lord of the Manor of Milton Clevedon. Jonathan now runs his own company which advises on transport and economic regeneration projects. He was previously a national officer of Transport 2000 in the mid-1980s, and then a strategy and political communications director for over 20 years, advising many English local authorities. Jonathan wants the district council to strive harder on broadband, accessibility, the local economy and housing capacity, to achieve more sustainable, better-connected communities.
