Stayed at this hotel for 5 weeks while on a training course for work. This hotel is not cheap at £130 per night for a twin room. We spent a little over £4500. On paper the hotel sounds good with Wi-Fi, swimming pool and gym etc. Don't be fooled by some reviews. Rooms extremely hot with no air conditioning, we had to have two fans running constantly in October! The room remained hot.. Basic things like cleaning were not achieved to a basic standard by the hotel. It took two visits by the manager to finally get the room vacuumed. Cleaner would routinely replace towels and leave old ones in the room. We did come back on one occasion to find that our bin had been emptied, however the bag of rubbish had been left in the room on top of the dresser! Swimming facility is alright but again is not clean (mould in showers beside sauna), also steam room is out of action and staff informed us that it would be for an undetermined amount of time.

I would not recommend a room any where near to the pool as there is an extremely strong chlorine gas smell filling the corridors.

Breakfast is basic but ok. Only thing is on several occasions the waiting staff would not have turned up to work. The chef told us to help ourselves ( no tea or coffee on these occasions). Also we had an instance of the chef not being there and the staff told us that "today is continental" continental consisted of half toasted bread with jams or yoghurt at least tea and coffee was available this time.

To finish off, be careful in the car park as one of my colleagues had their car badly damaged in the hotel car park. No cameras. Hotel reluctant to help in any way.

No complaints. Very comfortable bed and friendly staff. Food is excellent and on time. Facilities are lovely.

Very tired hotel whose owner has evidently not invested in it. I stayed therefore 3 weeks 2 years ago and it is now even more run down.Room adequate but hot water hit and miss, gym OK but pool heavily over chlorinated(my skin was tingling) sauna disappointing and the steam room is a cleaners' cupboard. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was OK. In sum, this place could be great if someone was prepared to spend some time and money. However, at half the price of Holiday Inn you get what you pay for!

The meal we had was perfectly cooked although the portions were quite small. There did not appear to be enough staff on call as they all seemed to be doubling up on their tasks whilst one or two of them didn't seem to know what they were supposed to be doing. We did not stay overnight so I cannot comment on that aspect of the establishment.
