Powderkegs Morris Description
We are based in Whaley Bridge in the Peak District. Our name comes from ancient gunpowder mills nearby. Our rags are fire colours and our dances are explosive! !
We dance Border Morris. Border Morris is lively and noisy, with bells, yells, and clashing sticks! It comes from English counties which border Wales and it's hundreds of years old.
We started in 2001 and our side is now over 30 strong, including dancers and musicians. We perform at events throughout Derbyshire and further afield. If you would like to talk to us about performing at your event please email us using the email address below.
