Established in 1988 and originally located in the Georgian city of Bath, PDS started out providing draughting facilities to architectural practices and engineering companies and has diversified into the bespoke architectural concrete sector. The Firm's commitment to providing a high quality service is evident in the number of prestigious projects PDS has been involved with over the years, and currently involved with such as the Scottish Parliament Building, Heathrow T5, The British Museum Great Court Project, Canary Wharf including the East Jubilee Link line tube station, and More recently with Blavatnik, Crossrail network link, Harrods Estate. Recognition of Practech's development and achievements led to an invitation to associate membership of the (UK) Cast Stone Association in 1994, making PDS the only independent design consultancy in the association for many years. PDS left the association in 2001 as its core business interests diversified. Building on our success, PDS has increased its turnover year on year, and now handles precast contracts with a combined value in excess of £25m annually, with contract values ranging from a few thousand pounds to several million, such is the diversity of PDS's operational base. PDS's emphasis on excellence and quality can be clearly seen by its long lasting relationship with many well known companies with the industry. The Company's continuing success means that it is constantly investing in new technology and practices. PDS was originally set up as a fastrack design and detailing consultancy. We have continued to expand upon the ethos and now have a multi disciplined team of CAD designers, Facade Engineers, Architects, Civil, Structural and Mechanical Engineers, Technicians and Draughtsmen. Many of our staff operate on a freelance basis, from satellite offices throughout the United Kingdom, which allows us to keep our operating costs down and pass on the benefits to our clients.
