At Premier Inn, weŌĆÖre proud to say we have so many amazing women working for us. From work placements and training courses to leading apprenticeship programmes, we are always striving for them to go further. HereŌĆÖs just one of the many stories we have to share about the talented women who work at Premier Inn and is proof that hard work pays off!
At the age of 18 Michaela Reynolds was one of 172 people put forward for 19 jobs. Despite having to catch five different buses to an...d from work, this didnŌĆÖt stop her determination as she worked her way up from Housekeeper to Head Housekeeper to Reception Team Leader. After achieving her Level 4 apprenticeship, she became Hotel Manager of not just one, but two of our Birmingham hotels. To achieve all of this in just five and a half years is incredible.
She says: ŌĆ£I truly endorse this business as a great place to work. I was lucky with the support IŌĆÖve had from my managers here ŌĆō when I joined I was a shy 18-year-old, but my managers along the way have recognised my potential and helped me to develop.ŌĆØ

WeŌĆÖre proud to say that Whitbread are committed to investing in quality apprenticeships. Of the 647 apprenticeships Whitbread currently have in learning, 300 of them started last year. To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, weŌĆÖre sharing the stories of just some of our amazing apprentices who tell us what their apprenticeships have meant for them.
Reception team member Beth Walker realised hospitality was her calling after a weekŌĆÖs work experience with Premier Inn. Now a full time apprentice, she says working for Premier Inn has built her self-confidence and significantly grown her organisation and communication skills. We stayed here when we came to Manchester to do some Christmas shopping. Location is the best for Arndale centre which was great and Deansgate which is about 4 minute walk to. We were on the 6th floor and is was so quiet. We slept so well and the staff are so friendly and attentive. We were very impressed and will certainly stay here again when we visit Manchester.

User

The staff in this hotel are amazing! They literally went above and beyond this morning for me and my other half! We wanted a can of cold coke and they had none in the building a lovely member of staff.... who's name has now slipped my mind walked to the local shop and purchased two... literally made my experience much much better, would definitely stay here again!

User

The staff here are lovely. The lady that booked us in was very helpful it directions to the arena (literally a 4min walk). When leaving the lady took our bags so we could go and get breakfast and when we came to pick them up she organised a taxi for us. Would defanitly visit again. Highly recommended

User

The staff here are amazing and go above and beyond! Recently the residential part of the building has had no lifts and even though the staff were very busy, they were still kind enough to help us out so we did not have to climb 23 floors. Much appreciated. Thank you!

User

The hotel itself is situated in the centre just over the road from print works where there is a great choice of food from different places. The hotel bar is clean and the staff are great, especially Akeem who was so polite and professional.

A great place to stay and another premier inn ticked off in a different place

User

Stayed here over the weekend Friday & Saturday with a Hen party. Stayed in room 807 and it was spotless & comfortable, twin room. Good size for space & very looked after.

All the staff here where very friendly & helpful. And looked very happy in there work no matter what time of the day or evening it was.

I will be coming back to Manchester & not only is the place the ideal location as so central it as a 5 stars from me due to how clean it is & how the staff are. Thankyou

User

Stayed here last night because of proximity to the arena, we were in Manchester to watch Harry styles. We were on the 10th floor, room 1007, it was a large twin room with lovely comfortable beds and a large TV on the wall. The hotel although very busy was quiet and I would stay again and recommend, all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, the breakfast lovely, lots of it and excellent quality.

User

Stayed In this Premier inn a few times now. We had an adapted room as my husband is disabled. Even though the lift to the restaurant wasn't working, the staff were very helpful in getting him into the hotel. Our room was spacious and clean. The bed was amazing. Very comfortable. There was enough to choose from at breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. 5*

User

I stayed here after being at the concert in Manchester on Monday night, traumatised. I just want to say the biggest thank you and well done to all of the staff working that night and the next morning! They made us feel so safe and welcome and offered us advice. The level of care we felt from people we had never met before (both staff and guests) was amazing and I cannot thank the staff enough for dealing with the situation so calmly and as if they had been in this situation before even though they hadn't.

User

I stay here regularly for work, it's my Premier Inn inn of choice when visiting Manchester. It doesn't just have friendly staff and the quality rooms that you expect with Premier Inn, it is also conveniently located for my office, the Arndale and the city centre. All the staff are great but special mentions go to Jola who works in the restaurant and Barbara on reception. Jola is the only member of staff who has ever acknowledged me as a repeat visitor and this means a lot as I appreciate that she sees hundreds of customers every week. She is always so polite and helpful and clearly understands what great customer service looks like. Barbara is always cheerful and the perfect person to manning reception, making you feel at home away from home.

User

Brilliant place to stay. Made us feel so welcome on our first visit to Manchester. Clean hotel. Nice friendly people. Very helpful. Would defo recommend staying here. Thankyou for making us feel so welcome.

User

As others have said it's an ideal location for shopping and the arena. This was our first visit to watch Queens of the Stone Age. Had a good nights sleep and breakfast was great, and with the friendly staff we will definitely be back

User

3rd visit to this Premier Inn and certainly will not be the last. Firstly the staff are amongst the most pleasant I have ever encountered, nothing is too much trouble. The value for money is amazing. Rooms clean, lovely fresh crisp linen and so close to Manchester City centre, had a great break.

User

We always stay in this hotel whenever we visit the arena . Staff are fantastic and the location is perfect . Slight niggle this time as the dining in the evenings had changed since our visit in May. You cannot expect 1 or 2 staff to run a bar and a restaurant . We ordered a meal and didnŌĆÖt get to eat this because of the length of time it took . Not the staffs fault in any way at all . Chantelle went above and beyond . Will definitely be back

User

Room was clean and lovely. Slept so well in comfy bed. Staff warm and friendly helpful at all times.

Restaurant closed had to eat in the bar I would say understaffed long wait for food and out of some certain foods. No presseco at all. Staff in bar could not do enough even through they seemed under pressure.

User

Left this hotel today, 2 adults & 2 children, lovely hotel, room was smelly when we first went in but soon aired out, beds lovely and comfortable & staff lovely too! Only downsides were having to use the escalator with a pushchair as lift was being mended (couldn't be helped) and the noise (thumping music) on Tuesday night whilst we were trying to sleep - again though not sure where it was from so possibly couldn't be helped. Breakfast was lovely & good selection! Staff were fantastic & hotel was clean! Will stay again!!

User

Been in the hotel since 6th feb Rooms clean spot on Most of the staff are good /polite

Bar never fast always missing

Breakfast lady is brilliant

Evening Bar/food 04/04/18

Waste of time , no food no service to busy in the restaurant 15 people to serve the Bar ’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐ Į’┐Į’┐Į

User

Very pleasant atmosphere, attentive staff, but would have preferred smaller portions of better quality food and would have paid more for that. Nice place to spend an evening with colleagues on a corporate do but would not bring my wife here for an evening a deux. Depends, I suppose, on the market they are looking for.

User

Think we got them on a bad weekend. Room fine but bar closed due to no gas to poor drinks although fridges full. Eventually agreed to sell drinks as so many people wanted one. Only card payments though & then fire alarm went off so all moved outside. Went for breakfast next morning pre 11 & hot food was cold.

Always stay at Premier inns, so not what im used to.
