Premier Inn Whitehaven

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Quiet. Good location.

I travelled by myself, my room was really comfortable and had everything I needed. Huge TV and a very comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean.
The breakfast was spot on too.

This hotel is made up of two buildings, a new block opened up this year and the older block. Unfortunately I stayed in the old part, and rooms are tired and worn. But credit to the staff, were immaculately clean. The room I had, also backed on to the kitchens of the pub and the extractor fans were whirling away until from first thing in the morning until gone 11pm. The Brewers Fayre pub it is attached to, is a bit like Marmite, as slow service at the bar to order food in the evening and to be seated for breakfast in the morning. Every evening, we was warned there was a wait of 30-45 mins for food to be served. Much prefer Premier Inns with a Beefeater or Thyme Restaurant attached.

Stayed here for a few nights. Room was clean, it was very quiet. Staff were helpful. There is a Brewer's fare next door. I didn't eat there so can't comment on that. I was however happy with the room.

The Premier Inn itself is excellent, as good as all the other ones we've stayed in. The attached Brewer's Fare pub can best be described as tired. We ate there two mornings and two evenings. On each occasion we sat at a different table, but every time the table was wedged with beer mats to try and stop it rocking. Having stayed in a few other Premier Inns I can say the food was below the standards of others. The milk on day one breakfast was very odd tasting, to the point of both of us leaving our cereal uneaten. Breakfast on day two was particularly poor as most of the food was almost cold and no eggs available despite being told they were on the way. One of the coffee machines was semi broken on both days. Evening meals were generally over cooked and slow to arrive. Definitely room for improvement.

Rooms are clean and comfortable. Quiet and staff are very attentive. You'll need transport to get anywhere as not really in walking distance to places

Can be quite busy during the week with contractor's. Rooms are typical premier Inn standards good and clean. Food at the brewers fayre next door is okay with pleasant staff

Stayed in the new block, and the rooms are very nice. Quite large, although there could be more wardrobe space. Bed is very comfortable, and there is free WiFi (although you need to pay for it if you want to stream TV or Movies).
