We are ideally looking for someone with experience riding and coaching to teach our riding school clients and our advanced lessons (up to BHS Stage 4 coaching and riding)

Today was my first visit to Summerhouse and I had a fantastic showjumping lesson with Rachel. All the staff were really friendly and helpful, facilities were great and was certainly worth the 5 hour round trip. Since being told my horse was no longer able to jump it was a rare opportunity to jump a lovely horse round a decent track and I had the pleasure of riding Larry. He was an absolute star who loved his job and Rachel was a great instructor, fantastic at both advising how to get the best out of the horse and improving my way of riding. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, would 100% recommend and will certainly be back soon!

These schoolmaster lessons are amazing! It is so valuable to ride a horse that knows more than you do, with the intelligence and patience to teach you how it’s done. The human instructors are fab too! I go home with a whole new set of skills to practice on my own horses. Highly recommended ��

Not only have the Summerhouse Prestige Team found the most incredible perfect horse for me, but the training and support has been sublime. It is never too late to achieve goals and dreams and thank you to Sara and Rachel I am getting closer to fulfill mine. It has been an incredible 12 month journey.

My experience at Summerhouse was one that I will not forget and will one day come back to in the future. I had signed up for the Prestige Training with Sarah and Rachel and worked on the basics as well as getting my strength back. By the end of the week thanks to their help I noticed huge imporvements in my riding an confidence level. The staff at Summerhouse were all extremely helpful in prepartion for the Prestige training week and during the time that I was their. The horses were all lovely and truly amazing teachers.



I want to thank Sarah, Rachel, and the Summerhouse team again for a lovely time. I will highly recommend this place to other people coming over from study abroad programs and to my friends who live in the UK.

My 2nd visit to Summerhouse Equestrian for a day of Prestige Training: Lottie was our group's instructor for the day and she was an absolute super �!! What really differentiates Summerhouse is that - on top of the brilliant schoolmaster horses and instructors - you get 5 star treatment from the first time you ring up, right through to when you leave the yard after a seamless day of back-to-back lessons. I want to say a BIG thank you and well done you to all members of the Summerhouse team! I will be back again next year�

My 15 year old daughter spent 3 days training at the centre on the school master program. She had a great experience, rode 6 different horses with her trainer Lottie. Her lessons were completely tailor made to include a lunge lesson, flat, jumping grids as well as an indoor and outdoor showjumping course and x country schooling. In addition she spent a few hours learning new stable management skills such as bandaging and mane pulling. The quality of teaching was excellent and the facilities at the centre are outstanding. They were also extremely flexible and were able to adjust times / horses according to our needs. We hope to be back very soon.

I've been with Sara for the majority of the season since relocating for university. She is a very insightful, competent instructor who develops, nurtures and challenges both horse and rider. Recommended for any rider wanting to further and hone their skill!

I've been having advanced schoolmaster jumping lessons on the amazing Larry over the last couple of months. Lottie Mitchell has been brilliant and is really helping to eliminate my bad jumping habits like riding awful lines, flappy hands and freezing in front of the fences lol ! It's really beginning to show now in my jumping competitions on my own horse as we are consistently going double clear and getting placed. Loving my lessons - loving Larry & Lottie too - thank you !

I was lucky enough to have a schoolmaster lesson (dressage) the other week and it was an amazing experience!

Louis was a great equine teacher as was Lottie the human teacher! I learnt loads about how I ride - what mistakes I was making with some of my transition and lateral techniques, and I rode my first flying change.

When I next got on my own horse I was able to see things in a fresher light and was able to proceed with his training with a new found accuracy and confidence.

I think everyone who is serious about improving their riding should have a schoolmaster lesson...I certainly would love to come for another!

I started having lessons with Sara just over a year ago. As a Para rider I found it difficult to find a centre that would take me - but Sara gave it a go and within a few months had found me a very special horse and coached me to 2 National Titles and a place on the BEF program - first rung of the Para Team GB Ladder. This year we hope to be selected for GB at a CDI 3* event - pretty good example of the Summerhouse Prestige Team in action!!

I kept my top competition horse on full livery here and was extremely happy with the professionalism and high standard of care. The facilities are wonderful and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Additionally, we have regular access to affiliated competitions on site. I was very happy here and plan to be back!

I have learned loads from Sara and the team and their incredible horses. I did an intensive week with them which allowed me to continue to work on what I was learning and build on it in a short space of time. I have also had single private lessons. All of the horses are different and will teach you so much- highly recommend!

I have had both school master lessons and lessons on my own horse with Sara and Martine. Thanks to their help and support my horse has gone from strength to strength and my riding has improved greatly.



I often visit for a school master lesson when I want to learn new movements before riding them on my own horse, the horses are beautifully schooled and always feel very safe. I would recommend the summerhouse team to anyone that wants to improve their riding or even just have some fun riding such well schooled horses.

I have been taking regular schoolmaster advanced lessons with Sara and Irma and lunge lessons with Martine. The staff are always welcoming and helpful. What a great experience and good fun, so lucky to have the opportunity to ride such lovely experienced horses. The quality of the trainers, horses and facilities is excellent, I would reccomend it to anyone wanting to develop their skills in a fun and safe environment. Thank you Summerhouse

I have been having several Dressage Prestige Lessons at Summerhouse over the past year. The horses and instructors are great and highly qualified. I have been getting a lot out of these lessons and I can highly recommend it to anybody who is looking to further progress in their dressage education or would just like to enjoy the experience of riding a horse who has been there and done it all.

I had an Absolutely wonderful lesson very rare to find such amazingly well schooled and sensible Dressage horses available to ride advanced movements on outside of Europe! (Which costs huge money trust me!) cannot recommend it enough Lottie is a fab instructor, to the point, which gets immediate results! I learnt a lot about myself as a rider in a short amount of time. Highly recommend!

I enjoyed my training session with Sara , even better I was able to come home with a new sense of feel for the balance required from an advanced horse. I have been able to translate this to my own horse and we have made huge progress. I so look forward to my next lessons.
