Second time we've been booked a table as we arrived great the first time great the second time smashing place lovely food with Italians and Perroni on draft. What's not to like.

My husband and I are in york for a few days and popped into this restaurant on passing. We were immediately welcomed and taken to a table where we placed our order for food and drinks which were brought to our table quickly. The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive. We would highly recommend.

Had a lovely lunch on Saturday friendly staff great food ( we had spaghetti and king prawns and salmon penne) will be back soon�

Me and my friends came to this place for the first time and the restaurant decor was lovely. Staff were attentive on the whole just little let down on having to wait to ask for a dessert menu but to be fair they were busy. I had the baked mushrooms was nice but I thoroughly enjoyed my prawn pasta it was full of flavour to my amazement unlike other places. Food was delicious and it was my first time in York and to this restaurant would definitely recommend it.

Great food. We arrived very early but we're shown to our table and advised that the food order might take a little longer which was fine by us. We got our drinks and took our time to order our food. The order did take a few minutes longer than normal but as we had been advised of this we were prepared and it was an unreasonable wait. Service overall was good with two exceptions, we ordered tap water which did not arrive at first request and although the food was excellent all the three dishes which were pasta and risotto were served on cold plates which was a shame. We forgot to order the garlic bread until our food arrived which was our fault but when we ordered it did take a while to arrive.

Booked a table for 5 we arrived 15minutes early so was expected to wait but was surprised our table was ready. Took a while for our drinks to arrive then when starters arrived the waitress wasn't very polite or happy just showed us the food didn't say what it was so all had to glance at it put our hands up like in school!!! When mains came 1 my friends lasagne had a big black hair on it could tell was off the waitress had dropped on when she must of picked it up we told her she apologised and friend got a replacement a fresh 1 thankfully! The food was lovely defiantly will return was so much on menu would like to try out. We did have a voucher for 50% off mains. Did see in website when I booked a table was an offers page to get vouchers definalty worth looking at.

We had a tropical pizza and the only thing tropical were the tiny chunks of pineapple sparingly dotted around that could not be tasted. I have had much better from a take away. My carbonara was very light in flavour. Hardly any cheese at all. On the plus side it was clean and some of the staff were very pleasant.

The food was spot on, but the service was slow and as for the bill it was almost like the didn’t want paying as it took 4 times of asking.

Worse pasta dish I’ve had - no Gorgonzola to be found - the sauce resembled dirty dish water!

Waitress got our order wrong twice asked for a rosé spritzer and got a white one then asked for garlic bread to share and got something with onions on which got sent back then still tried to charge me for but on + side carbonara was fab

The food was the only thing going for it. Two phone calls regarding booking a table and we turn up to no booking to the drama of yes we did book... no, no you didn't, but we did! we did finally get seated and there's plenty of room! Not sure why we had to go through the drama! Then bill paying time... everyone paid their amount... 5 minutes later "you've paid short" but we hadn't! So a big big tip it was (£40) and again drama! Urgh I doubt I'll be going back to prezzo in a hurry!

went here on new year's eve, expecting nothing too extravagant, but at least decent service for the prices set. we were greeted by an extremely rude waitress who quickly showed us to a table, only to tell us for the hundreth time that the restaurant was to shut in half an hour. we were completely understanding of this, as i myself have been working in and studying hospitality and catering. however, throughout the whole meal, all we experienced were grim-looking faces, not a single smile, people running around and huffing and grumbling. the food was of a decent quality, however presentation looked rushed and sloppy. had you all taken an extra minute to smile, not be rude to us or other tables and just put the tiniest of effort into what probably was your last table of the night we would have left content and without a need to complain. please do take this as constructive criticism and have a long, hard look at your customer service, especially on nights like new year's eve. extremely disappointed.

Went for birthday lunch with two friends. Was asked if had booked a table replied we hadn’t he looked over the top of my head and spoke to a couple who came in behind us asked if they had booked which they had they completely ignored us and seated them then walked back to us pointed to a table in the corner and said sit over there we waited ten minutes no one brought us a menu twice tried to attract the attention of a member of staff to ask for a menu got one practically thrown at us one the third attempt. Don’t think I will return to this restaurant in the future

Very disappointed. Booked a table for 19:00 for a family meal for our eldests 17th.

Sunday evening, Not particularly busy for a city centre setting.

First Drinks arrived 25 minutes after ordering them, Starters, most of which were lukewarm, arrived after 20:15, main meals after 20:50, at least they were warm.

Service appalling, staff weren't friendly, no apologies given at all or at anytime during he evening, we were only told they'd been 'very busy with desserts' when we'd been waiting for our starters.

The only thing that took less than 15 minutes to arrive was the bill.

Have eaten at other Prezzo's and never had such appalling service. Will not be returning to this one, unfortunately makes us think twice before going back to any others now as well.

Whilst here we also witnessed one waiter repeatedly picking his nose and rubbing it with his the back of his hand (the mirrors tend to let customers see this even when the waiter has his back to the customers �), several tables empty, several tables served, finished and reseated whilst we still hadn't received our main courses, NO one ever asked us if we'd like anymore drinks, when we did ask for some, these also took 15 minutes to arrive), sat and listened for 20 minutes whilst Italian waiters chatted very pleasantly and swiftly served Italian customers- this was the third sitting at the same table behind us whilst we were there.



All in all a very disappointing night, our son (whose birthday it was for) was also very disappointed and regrets his choice.

The service received tonight has been absolutely appalling. Waited 1hr 20mins and didn't even have a starter. Kids came from a dance show and all had to go and leave without eating anything. If I could have given it zero stars I would have. The only joy I had was managing to tell some other poor soul coming into the restaurant not to go there!

Really made a cock up of the pre ordered meals.....some people didn't get a starter and just ignored any requests to get it sorted. Pathetic and had the cheek to put 10% on service charge. Food served was good but a frustrating experience, to actually get what we asked for!!!

Not a great visit on the 15/12/17, seated quickly as had table booked but what a miserable team member/manager can never tell here as no one seems to be in charge, food very bland, steak salad and sea food spaghetti, had to ask for tomatoes for my salad as got missed, all the staff congregated by the bar where some random guy was drinking beer and chatting to the staff. Every time we ordered drinks there was a long delay in receiving them, give this place a miss

Me and my son were on a day out to the attractions in york, with it been a hot day were in shorts and teashirts, we fancied italian and was passing this place, before we even got through the door a rude woman stopped us and told us ‘we full’ then shut the door on us theres clearly empty tables and people going in behind us, with out been confronted, disgusting customer profiling
