We stayed in a hotel nearby and wanted to drink something in a nice pub without too many tourists. And we found this one. The live music is awesome, the food very very good and we really enjoyed the Gin. The staff is great and always very friendly. We love it. It became our favorite and "standard" Pub while staying in London.

Great Pub close to where we were staying, not a lot of selection of food , but something most people could choose from , Meal was quick and nicely presented , staff were pleasant , had a nice evening that didnt break the bank
Close to our Hotel. We've been there twice. Considering we are in a big city (as expected in any big city like L.A. , San Francisco) the prices are higher than expected but I paid £7.20 for a pint of beer and a half pint of cider. So....$9 American? Really that's not bad at all. The atmosphere, people watching and the great singing last night puts this place on top for me. I'm going to try some food next trip.
The food (I had a venison pie) is OK, if unspectacular.
However, the pricing of soft drinks - I was charged £4.40 for a pint of Diet Coke - is utterly ludicrous.
I'm a native Londoner so very conscious of the premium price, but this level is so eye-watering I asked the manager to come & try to justify his response. He replied that this is the same price as other local pubs - which I find hard to believe since I live a mile away in a similarly-expensive part of London.
My response was that this pub shows contempt for its own customers. He shrugged.
Avoid with extreme prejudice.
Was waiting for my friend in here today for our weekly Sunday lunch date and dozed off for a sec when waiting for my friend to arrive. The bar man was very rude and intimidating and banged my table lots v loudly to wake me up and had a very bad vibe tbh. I was quite shaken up and felt very unwelcome so we went elsewhere. Won't be returning because vibes are very important to me in choosing a pub, and the vibe was v v bad here 😩
Staff don't know what they are doing. Bar staff don't know what scotch or bourbon is. Ordered rare steak, got well done. Took 3 people to figure out what to do about it. Had a table for 3 only got 2 sets of cutlery. Not a great experience.
