Elderly mother admitted after a fall and we could not speak more highly of every member of staff we met, from A&E doctor, to medical doctor and all the nurses and porters and those carrying out CT scan and X-Rays. Mum was very well looked after - she said that she had excellent care and commented on how friendly everyone was. We were seen really quickly (although appreciate that is not always possible) and had all tests and scans etc really quickly too - even at the weekend - a real 24/7 marvelous healthcare service we should all appreciate and value.

I had such a fantastic experience at the PRUH. I had a tonsillectomy, and despite people telling me it would be extremely painful after I have experienced next to no pain. The surgeon who performed the treatment was thorough and I've had no bleeding. The anaesthetist could see I was scared and continued to reassure me and have a conversation with me throughout to block out what was happening.
All the nurses and ward staff took extra care to ensure all patients on the ward had everything they needed, extra checks were done throughout.
What a fantastic job our NHS are doing despite being over worked and under staffed. I personally really appreciate all their hard work. Thankyou!

Very poor hospitality. Since the birth we been at the hospital for nothing. But then they said they need to do injection but that injection is not done for 3 days!!!! Because doctors were running off from people question. Scariest thing is that night shift doctors are always sleepy and yawning; they forgot that they should be wide open while they are doing this job. Plus night duty doctors say day duty doctors will look after your issue and the day duty doctors blames the night and this is been going for 3 days. 3 WHOLE DAY!!!!! What you want to do when you have given birth you would want to spend time with your new born NOT spend days and days at hospital without a purpose. I also feel a bit racist this is because after my wife gave birth they were around 5 - 7 new couple have given birth and been discharged (british couples) but they were also at the same stage as us.

STRONGLY URGE PEOPLE LOOKING TO THIS HOSPITAL ISSUES BEFORE COMING IN.

Terrible place. So much wrong with this hospital it's hard to know where to start. A&E is lottery of survival... Even if you are considered to be in a near death category don't expect to get treated same day! Nurses etc are exceptionally good but are also having to deal with a system of disfunctional, unaccountable, and invisible management. On top of resource allocation issues, where decisions are clearly made based around availability of equipment and staff first, there is the horrendous design of this relatively new building. Wards, four to a room, are unventilated, cramped and extremely hot.. windows are bolted almost closed...I guess lots of people would otherwise choose that as an option out...

Don't expect anything more than a bed, even a spare seat in this place is a luxury, although obviously the bed will not be available until 24hours after you first required it.

The corridors however are nice and cool, wide open with lots of light.. some smart architect obviously put more thought into the circulation areas rather than the rooms you spend 99% of your time in.

Best avoided, if you have any choice in the matter.

All the staff I encountered was the most friendly, especially the security team (the very tall father who had his sons working with him) never got a chance to thank him for guarding my mother and making a stressful time easier. I hope you and your wife enjoy your new ducks! Honestly from the bottom of my heart thank you, your kindness and patience made such a difference.

My Dad sadly passed away in the early hours of Thursday morning. He received the most amazing care from all the staff. The doctors and consultants were completely honest with us all the way through. They did all they could and respected him even when he had died. Fantastic care you should all be very proud.x

Today we had to go to A&E with our 6 your old daughter who fell from a 6ft hight on her head and shoulder. After a short wait we were seen by an A&E nurse who recommended observation in the waiting room and see what the effect of Calpol would do. Not so impressed by that but after our daughter vomitted we were send over to the Pediatric A&E ward and good care and advice followed. Immediately the nurse checked vital parameters, she was seen by a doctor soon after: a X-ray was done, 4.5 hrs of observation in the Hospital was completed and Head injury advice given before we were able to go home again. The doctor was v friendly, respected our daughter by asking questions on her eye level. He listened to us and answered our questions by taking them into account with his examination. The nurse was caring, friendly and followed up on progress while we waited for the observation time to end. Much better experience compared to Tunbridge Wells Hospital.

I have been to Princess Royal Hospital a few times and the staff are really lovely the doctors really do help you the Nurses take care of you when there doing there assessment. The waiting can be long but you expect that and the staff do work hard to try and see you as quick as possible but each experience of being at the hospital has been really nice.

I am being treated at the haematology outpatient .
I am most impressed with the care I get from all the staff, they very kind and affectionate. I could not have anything better then what I got now.
Just one minor issue in the at least two hours Waite before the pharmacy can give the medicine. Most other hospital it does not take more then twenty minutes.
I suppose it may be due to big number of patients it is handling.
