Well hello! ........................ I’m starting a weekly acting tech/creative playground at Printers Playhouse on Monday 20th August 7-9. £20. These will continue to run on a weekly basis if we get the numbers.
A fun filled 2 hours of exploring and developing our ability to listen and be listened to. The sessions will be physically based and active.
... Open to aspiring professional actors who want to refresh their techniques and looking to work at a level that increases confidence to audition for drama schools or pro work.
I will be taking the session and will be looking to increase our pool of actors we work with at Printers Playhouse, from these workshops.
Please let me know if you’re interested by email: John@printersplayhouse.co.uk Or by leaving a message. Thanks
John Berry PPH

Where else in Eastbourne can you spend an evening in an intimate theatre experiencing the intense drug fantasy, Trippin, and the next night sit six feet from Dean Friedman singing along to 'Lucky Stars'...... Well done, PPH...... and noodles too!
What a great afternoon/evening we had ! Started off in the beer garden in the afternoon and ended up staying all evening. And meeting my visiting parents here. As there was a fantastic charity night for MIND on.
A collection of great singers. And it was a full house of a great friendly crowd. Thank you Ryan for holding a table for us, This place Rocked. Thank you
What a good evening with 2 Hep Cats... great atmosphere and even got a bit of dancing in.. regards Dave // Memphis Flyers rockabilly
Went to the printers playhouse to see Dean Friedman as it was a venue change, really nice place for an intermate gig, was full downstairs but just made for a great atmosphere, staff were friendly and helpful, overall a great night
We had a great time, really enjoyed playing there. It's a lovely, quirky little place and the guys running it (Ryan & Mike) are so friendly and helpful. I didn't eat, but those of us who did said the food was excellent. If I lived in the area I'd be in there all the time!
Thankyou for lovely noodle lunch Kal ... what a lovely place thanks all 🎉
Spotted this gem of a venue hiding behind a normal looking shop front due to the A boards outside whilst on holiday in Eastbourne last week. Everyone was very friendly and we had a great time borrowing ukuleles and playing along with the ukulele army. We decided to return later in the week for the Oi Oi comedy club and had burritos. It was an enjoyable evening with a variety of stand ups all with different styles. If we lived nearer this would definitely be where you would find us on a regular basis... well worth a visit ( or several).
So since the new venue reopening, I've frequented at Printers a lot! It is possibly the nicest venue in Eastbourne at the moment, chilled atmosphere, great friendly staff and live music and open Mic nights to boot are the cherries on top! Nice one guys hope the new place kicks ass like it should do!
Since its opened, it is improving everyday and the garden is now ready. I love the decor and food in there. Definitely recommended to anyone who is looking for a place to satisfy their evenings. Well done guys
Simply the place of revolution for Eastbourne's music, theatre, poetry and (entertainment in most of it's shapes including good drinks, good food and great people) scenes.
I have seen this place go from it's late building stages into the 5* reviewed and loved home of our music scene...
As a matter of fact I'm visiting PP for the third time this week tonight and so should you!
Saw a preview of "Bouncers" it was hilarious and engaging, I recommend going to see it, they created such a good atmosphere. Also The venue is lovely. So much detail in the decor , it's great!
Quality! Best spot in Eastbourne by far, varied and entertaining entertainment. Cannot ask for more, highly recommended.
People of Eastbourne should definitely check out this venue -live music most nights, and it supports a small theatre upstairs for theatrical events. Friendly bar staff - lovely ambience for a relaxing evening. :)
Matt Cooper on the 19th August was a terrific evening and as alway he played some amazing numbers, have seen him manytimes locally and hope you book him again and I will ensure more of my freinds attend and love the venue as well
Lovely venue very friendly and best of all vegan good options
Love this place it's so friendly has amazing plays and bands on good food and you never feel alone at printers play house every town should have one
I went to see a preview of Bouncers by John Godber last night, at the very special and wonderful Printers Playhouse.....I was absolutely blown away by the performances.....It was both funny and poignant. The cast of four have not been in rehersals for long, and yet their performances were very polished. With the fantastic direction of Viv Berry, this is definitely not a play to be missed.....I loved it! Get down to Printers this week, and "if you haven't got a ticket - you ain't coming in"!
I never thought i would miss this place and all the people i met there as I'm doing now. I'm leaving for now but I carry with me a bright smell of home and friends.
Gracias por todo lo que me habeis dado.
I love this venue & beg everyone in Eastbourne to go please. Tonight we heard amazing live music & enjoyed lovely food. I would be so sad if it ever went, so please support. Best venue in Eastbourne hands down.
I love this place. I have spent many a great night chilling with great company listening and to the best local bands play live. Saw a fantastic play there too. Great atmosphere. The best venue in Eastbourne
I love this place! Saw 10 Steps to Happiness here and thought it was such a perfect venue!
I love this place! It is exactly what Eastbourne has been missing - somewhere that hosts regular live music and performance of different kinds, an atmosphere that everyone finds inviting and a mixed crowd that everyone feels comfortable with. You can sit in warm candle light and relax on some nights, on others dance your socks off! Make sure you visit this place people, it is well worth it!
I have spent a couple of fabulous evenings in this wonderful venue and was made to feel very welcome. The food is gorgeous and we even ended up seeing the play Trippin' on its last night before heading to the New York Fringe!!!
Somewhere that felt familiar and friendly as soon as I stepped over the threshold.
Thank you guys. X
Had a fab time at Printers Playhouse. The guys behind the bar were friendly and welcoming and I love the Marc Bolan 'Slider' album look of the taller man. Lovely garden out back. PPH is a quaint, 'off the wall', quirky venue with a 1968-1971 vibe. Saw an unusual live band called Teetotum, which advertise themselves as The Everley Brothers with the backing of The Who. I personally heard influences of 'Three Dog Night' , 'Crosby Stills & Nash' and even 'Deep Purple' in places. The band weren't slick polished showmen and I think their comments and asides between songs were lost but hey.... their informality somehow worked. Lovely place and their version of The Beatles 'I Saw Her Standing There' was blistering. Great evening and this will now be my local! Outstanding.
Great venue! Magnificent staff! Cracking atmosphere! Well done guys! Keep up the good work
Gorgeous venue with lovely space for acoustic music downstairs and another great stage upstairs for live music and theatre. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and an exciting line up of events - couldn't ask for much more!
Gorgeous place that I've fallen in love with ,a fantastic atmosphere with so many talented artists :) beautiful x
Fantastic, intimate, perormance space and bar, conveniently located in the heart of Eastbourne and only 2 mins from local bus routes in terminus road and Eastbourne train station. Relaxed and friendly staff, unique surroundings and a bohemian atmosphere make this a great social hub. Well done Printers Playhouse!
Fantastic venue.
Saw the preview of "Bouncers" tonight.
High energy performances all round, a great show.
Support this great new venue by booking tickets. Don't miss out!
Fantastic food great atmosphere with a lovely little garden
Fantastic bar / theatre / music venue. exactly what is needed in Eastbourne! Get off your sofas, come down and support this place!
Family tickets to afternoon showing of "A Christmas Carol"
Superb show, excellent value for money and a must for one and all.
Set off nicely with carols prior to show and then in the interval, rounded off with a gift for the kids.
Festive and quite honestly faultless.
Fabulous venue. Fantastic staff. Welcoming atmosphere and there's always something special happening. There should be one of these in every town!.
Fab to have a pro theatre and music venue in Eastbourne producing challenging, interesting and rousing work, with a few thumping tunes thrown in! Great energy and atmosphere. Terrific.
Fab evening last night printers playhouse only improves.
Fab Theatre/arts/music venue also offering great food. Run by lovely passionate creatives.
Every theatre performance I've seen here has blown me away, but Trippin has been the most weirdest and most wonderful to date. Such a talented team! So intelligently written, performed and superb direction - deep, dark in places, yet had me crying with laughter throughout. What a wonderfully crazy experience! Loving the community spirit as always :-) xxx
By far, the best music/theatre venue in Sussex. Yings Kitchen offers healthy, clean & delicious Asian food at good value too. Good place to pop into as a meeting place for a night out or a bite to eat or a fab night out to watch a show or watch a good band. Very unique. And the bar staff are nice to look at also Would highly recommend
