What an inspiring day 150 Priory pupils had yesterday taking part in the Solutions for the Planet Big Ideas STEM challenge day. Teams had to come up with ideas to tackle climate change or invent sustainable solutions to environmental issues, then design, brand and explain their concepts to the whole room. Ideas will then be shortlisted to go forward for regional and hopefully national finals. #STEM

Thank you to the staff of Stansted Park for hosting our Yr 11 Leisure & Tourism groups this week. What a beautiful learning space these students had for the day!

Friday's trip to Parliament was very inspiring. The groups had a tour through the Houses of Commons and Lords, had a Q&A session with Lord Haslehurst, then took part in a workshop at the education center where they were asked to create their own political parties and manifestos which they presented to each other and voted on. Some very common themes the students felt passionate about - the environment, lowering the voting age to 16, increasing government funding for education and tackling homelessness. Time afterwards for a walk across the Thames and sightseeing.
