Just back from a great weekend at Kimbolton with Rylan Echberg and Ollie Handley.
Ollie made a welcomed return after a few weeks off. He worked very hard during Saturday practice making significant improvements all through the day. Race day was also very encouraging for Ollie and after strong performances during the heats he qualified a superb P6 for the final. He showed good pace in the final and after a solid drive finished a respectable 9th place. Well done Ollie! K...eep pushing thereβs more to come π.
βRocketβ Rylan had another superb weekend. In a highly competitive field of 34 Honda Cadets, Rylan again proved he is becoming a regular Front Runner at this higher level of competition. He finished a very strong 5th place in heat 1, immediately followed by a magnificent win in Heat 2 resulting in a front row start for the main final. In the final itself he got off to a great start, but soon became involved in a race long battle for 3rd. He headed into the last lap in 4th, well placed to challenge for 3rd, but some minor wheel to wheel contact forced him into the grass dropping him back to 5th place at the finish line. A great performance Rylan Well done!!! Only 2/100ths away from setting Fastest lap as well πππ.
Very pleased for both our drivers this weekend. Strong performances in a very competitive class. Rylan also securing 2nd overall in the HKRC Winter Series ππ
Also we would like to congratulate fellow Project One drivers Ethan Symmonds and Mitchell Gibbons on taking the top two steps of the podium ππ well done boys!!!
Again the 2019 Project One taking victory and proving to be the kart to be on. - Get in touch to order yours! Test drives in the 2019 demo kart also available.

Project One karts dominated this weekend at the season opener at Little Rissington. Big congratulations to Mitchell Gibbons, Rylan Echberg and Reece Lomax on their magnificent haul of trophies and taking the top three podium places in both finals today.
P1 East Anglia drivers Michael Morgan and Rylan Echberg thoroughly enjoyed their first visit to the circuit. Michael improved constantly over the weekend and made good progress in the very tricky conditions today. Well done ...Michael.
Rylanβs race day started with a big crash in qualifying after being run off circuit by a fellow competitor in turn one, resulting in a Precautionary check over by the ambulance crew. A little bruised and battered he was given the all clear to continue racing, but having only qualified 14th, he had some work to do. As the conditions worsened Rylan put in two fantastic drives in the heats finishing 5th in both.
He continued to impress in both finals with a double podium. 3rd in final 1 and a great 2nd place in final 2 along with fastest lap of the day!
Well done Rylan and Mum Andrea - A well deserved result after a tough start to the day! ππππ.
As always, many thanks to Piers, Gerard and all the Gang at Project One for the valued support.

A day of firsts for Rylan today. First time at Fulbeck and First time on the Bridgestone Super One Tyres. Many thanks to John Hoyle for sending the tyres out to us and boy are they fast!!!
It was great to see a Honda Cadet with proper grip again!!
Great driving from Rylan who adapted to both the new circuit and new tyres very quickly. Awesome lap times way down into the 52βs on a partially damp track! A very enjoyable day and great to spend time with Callum, Dan C. And... the CHDD crew.
Off to Rissington tonight for the first time with Rylan and Micheal Morgan.

A great weekend at Whilton Mill for Rylan Echberg. At only his second visit to the Circuit, Rylan put in another strong performance with heat results of 3rd in Heat 1, 5th in Heat 2 and a great recovery drive to 12th in heat 3 after being spun out on the first lap and dropping to last place.
The heat results gave him a very credible P6 on the grid for the main A final. During the opening laps Rylan climbed two places and settled into a strong 4th place matching the lap tim...es of the leaders. As the race progressed a hard charging group of 6 karts managed to catch Rylan and the final few laps saw a great battle for positions 5th to 10th. After a hectic last lap Rylan crossed the line in 8th and also set a new PB lap time.
Although a little disappointed with his result, there is still more speed to come and good progress has been made. Well done Rylan it was a good weekend and a solid consistent drive ππ.

A good solid performance for the Team last weekend at Bayford Meadows.
Jack Williams took part in his last Honda Cadet Race before moving up to the junior ranks and although now running well over the class weight limit he drove very well, putting in some competitive lap times and exciting overtakes in usual Jack fashion- Well done Jack! Now on to a new adventure in juniors and we look forward to seeing you back on track soon.
Michael Morgan drove well and has really improve...d over recent months. Although his results donβt reflect the effort he puts in, weβre certain the results will come. Good effort Michael.
Rylan Echberg again proved he is now a consistent front runner. Using one of our new 2019 Spec DK Race Engines, Rylan was fastest in both heats and only 1/100th off setting fastest lap in the main final as well! After some very competitive racing Rylan finished a well deserved 4th place also securing 4th overall in the BMKR winter series. Well done Rylan.
Good results for both the team and DK Race Engines ππππ.

A very impressive debut for Rylan Echberg at Whilton Mill over the weekend. With very challenging weather conditions and a highly competitive grid of over 40 Honda Cadets, Rylan certainly raises a few eyebrows.
Heat 1 - Started 24th, finished 7th Heat 2 - Started 18th, finished 8th Heat 3 - Started 4th, finished 5th
... The Project One East Anglia Driver really worked hard during the heats and pulled off numerous stunning overtakes. He was rewarded with a very credible P6 grid for the main A final.
After dropping back a little at the start of the final Rylan charged back to join a hard battling group of 4 karts all fighting for P5, finally crossing the line in a well deserved 8th position. (5th, 6th, 7th & 8th positions crossed the line separated by a mere 0.5secs!!).
Well done to Rylan on a great weekend and a well deserved finish!
Many thanks to our colleagues at P1 Factory for the awning space and also a massive well done as Project One karts took the top 5 places in the final!
The 2019 chassis proving to be the benchmark for this season ππ.

Good performance by the boys this weekend at Kimbolton. Various dramas through the heats meant all four drivers would be starting much lower down the order than we had hoped for, but a unexpected rain shower just before the final blew things wide open and it was still anyoneβs race.
Rylan, Ollie, Jack and Michael really did themselves proud.
From grid 29, Michael climbed a staggering 15 places and finished 14th. π
... Rylan put in a Stella performance climbing 17 places from grid 24 to finish a well deserved 7th as he crossed the line. His pace was awesome and he also set the fastest lap of the race. πππͺ
Jack (visiting Kimbolton for the first time) had a solid race and drove well finishing 10th after starting in P16. π
Ollie also battled hard in the tricky conditions and finished a credible 9th from his P13 starting position.
Well done boys, it was a tough day but you all drove very well in the final.
Congratulations to winner and Project One Driver Reece Lomax. A great performance on his first visit to the circuit πππ.

Season opener today at Redlodge Club 2000. A chilly but dry day for Michael Morgan and Matthew Copsey, who were joined for the first time by new Team member Ollie Handley. Welcome aboard Ollie.
It didnβt take long for all 3 drivers to blow out the Christmas cob Webbβs with Matthew and Ollie securing 1st and 2nd in Qualifying and Micheal a very close 5th.
Matthew took impressive wins in heats 1 and 2 and finished a close 2nd in heat 3. Ollie (racing a Project One for the f...irst time) also impressed with 2nd in heats 1 and 2 and a great win in Heat 3. Michael Morgan put in his strongest performance to date with a brilliant 3rd in heats 1 and 2 and a fine 4th in heat 3. These heat results gave the Project One East Anglia trio Pole, P2 and P3 for the final - Superb job boys!
As the final got underway Matthew pushed hard in the opening lap and opened up a small gap to hard charging Ollie in 2nd. Michael settled into 3rd but had the close attentions of a 6 kart train behind him. Ollieβs confidence in his new kart continued during the final and he managed to chase down leader Matthew in the closing stages. The pair crossed the line separated by a few tenths with Matthew taking the victory. Michael drove the wheels off his kart under constant pressure from the chasing pack holding on to take a brilliant P3 and also 1st place Clubman driver as he crossed the line.
Both Max and myself are very proud of our 3 drivers who drove superbly all day, but a special mention to Michael Morgan, who made massive progress. Michael has been working so hard to improve his pace so todayβs podium is very much deserved!
With all our drivers finishing on the podium itβs been a great start to 2019 for the team. πͺπππ

This weekend the team were at Kimbolton with Rylan Echberg and Michael Morgan. A healthy grid of 28 Honda Cadets and changeable weather conditions meant things were set for a challenging weekend. Both drivers worked hard during Saturday testing and drove well in both wet and dry sessions. ππ
Race day brought mixed fortunes for Michael. His heat results gave him a credible P15 on the grid for the final, but a first lap incident dropped him to the back of the field leaving a ...lot of work to do. Michael put in a determined recovery drive setting a new PB along the way. He eventually crossed the finish line in 15th position. Well done Michael.
Rylan once again impressed us with his determination. Strong performances in the heats including a brilliant 4th place in heat 1 meant Rylan started the final from P6. Tyre choice for the final was a lottery. A large percentage of the grid opted for the safer option of intermediates, but a brave few took a chance and opted for slicks including Rylan. As the race got underway the intermediate shod drivers had a clear advantage and managed to breakaway. Rylan initially dropped back a little as he struggled to generate heat in his tyres, but by lap 3 his kart βswitched onβ and he set about closing down the leading karts. His pace was exceptional in the difficult conditions setting fastest time in sector 1 as he climbed back up to 5th place by the finish line. He picked up a well deserved trophy and also finished the day as 3rd highest point scorer. Excellent job Rylan, you are certainly proving that you will be one to watch next season ππππππ
Next stop Bayford Meadows for the final race of 2018.
