Proton Therapy Uk Description

'Proton Therapy Center' is an advanced clinical centre in Prague, Czech Republic, with the newest and most precise technology for treating patients with cancer.

Proton Therapy has been actively used since 1992 and is a safer and significantly improved form of radiation treatment for tumours.

Proton Therapy is a highly precise type of radiotherapy, mainly due to the physical properties of protons themselves, as well as to the specific way proton doses are distributed within tissues. The utilisation of this method results in high local control over tumours, a lower probability of damage to surrounding healthy tissues, a low risk of complications, and a greater chance of rapid recovery following treatment.

Our London-based office has been established to provide cancer patients living in the UK with the opportunity to access our state-of-the-art facility and treatments in Prague. Please feel free to contact us for additional information. We are more than happy to assist you and to answer any questions you may have.

The Proton Therapy Center in Prague organises tours of the facility for patients who are undergoing treatment. It’s a great opportunity to find out how our unique treatment works and what happens “behind the scenes“. During the tour, they learn where and how their individual treatment plans are made.

How long do patients with critical diagnoses have to wait to receive state-of-the-art treatment? The NHS has failed to meet deadlines in opening their two facilities. Much preparation, effort and continuing education go into opening a successful proton therapy centre and while the NHS continues to prepare their two new facilities, they should be sending suitable patients abroad for treatment rather than denying them access to proton therapy.

How does cancer care in the UK compare to other nations? According to recent studies, the UK falls short when it comes to providing proper service to NHS patients, resulting in the loss of 10,000 lives annually.

A recent survey showed that men in the UK at risk of prostate cancer are unaware of how common the disease is. It can be treated with #protonbeamtherapy. You can find more information about the treatment on our website: http://bit.ly/2yRggvC
