Finally got a chance to fit one if these Tecnigas exhausts to a GTS300 fits gts250 as well , after the normal struggle of getting the old exhaust off (these come with a full down pipe in stainless not just a slip on can) found the new one quite an easy fit, road legal, only slighter louder than the standard and a lot lighter. Dyno graph show before and after, there was a slight gain on Bhp but no rollers had to be changed just a new belt which gave it a bit more gearing to hit the rev limiter at 82mph. So a nice light stainless and Ali full exhaust system that can just be bolted on. http://www.psntuning.co.uk/scooter_parts. php?prt_id=3702 If interested feel free to Mention FACEBOOKGTS300 in your order for a ┬Ż10 pounds discount. Jims engine finally done meant to be just over 30bhp ended up 35bhp whoops Its a 179 with no welding no machine work on barrel or head even reed valve not sunk in. Please ignore torque figure not set up for it as its an auto but this dyno drum is a very heavy 350 kilos not like on some of the small really light ones on some dynos which can be whipped up to speed quicker as they are easier to spin up. As always I show the dyno screen not just the back wheel going round and then say the peak power, you can see how long it holds on to the power as it changes the gearing and the revs varying just around 200 through the run until top of the gearing is hit.

Warning to you conversion boys and standard scomadis, this may be a one off but this engine mount is out of a 50cc and has already failed , could be a bad weld but be careful when converting this part it needs strengthening, don't worry Simon Ashmead we have put extra weld onto yours when we did it. The later cradle like on the 125 have an extra silent block on the side to help strengthen them from standard. With this in mind this scomadi conversion will be the first one (that I know of) that will have a full runner type cradle system in it with a proper cradle and silent block. So no vibration problems like some conversions I have seen.

Been dynoing a Scomadi 125 4 stroke this afternoon blue line is the scooter as it came in top is 8.4bhp and drops to 6.5 at 50mph fitted new sports variator set up rollers for this bike and red line is the result, no real gain in power but the variator holds on to the power better and has 7.5 at 50mph now and also has better over run as it must add a bit of gearing on . you can see on the second graph with the revs on the original variator start over revving at around 52mp...h and the sports variator around 57mph, I also gave it a bit more fuel via a trick i know as I dont have jets for these bikes and it run on better as well . If you are interested in this variator they will be on the website soon. Also this variator we have used is for sale only run for about 20mins in total and comes with the rollers I finished up with. ┬Ż85 pounds to first person to phone 01924445449 takes it , also includes post as well , We are only removing it as the 125 lump is coming out and a 2 stroke is going in this bike .
