Delighted to share our latest guest review with you.
“We had a wonderful stay at the beautiful Puddle Duck Cottages. A real home away from home, full of all the creature comforts and mod cons needed. Lots of lovely touches and some delicious welcome treats for human and furry guests. Great to find so many books, games, dvds available plus plenty of info regarding places of interest. Both cottages were immaculately clean and had very comfy beds. We enjoyed a day out at Blist...s Hill Museum with the boys who soaked up the magic of stepping back in time and we wholeheartedly recommend The Woodbridge Inn for a meal. Superb food at a stunning river side setting. The dogs had a ball discovering new sights and smells and the garden areas are very secure so we never worried if they were out of sight. Just nice to be able to relax and let them do their thing. Despite not having the pleasure of meeting Sonia she was never more than a text away, even checking in on us to make sure we'd arrived safely. We shall definitely be back.”

What the Dickens!
Make Christmas 2018 extra special by booking a stay with us at www.puddleduckcottages.co.uk and visit Blists Hill Victorian Town over the weekend of Friday 14th December 2018.
Blists Hill is celebrating it’s 50th year of opening, so these Christmas celebrations promise to be extra special this year!
... You can travel back over 100 years to experience the festive sights, sounds and smells of a Victorian Christmas. Soak up the Yuletide atmosphere with seasonal entertainment and watch as the townsfolk busily make preparations for Christmas, Victorian style.
The event runs over two weekends in December but we are already fully booked in both cottages for the first weekend and also in Puddle Duck Cottage for the second weekend.
We now only have availability in Duckling Cottage which sleeps 4/5 guests and we’re advising guests to book early to avoid disappointment.
Why not also plan to visit RAF Cosford which houses over 70 aircraft of international importance and a Cold War exhibition, perfect for a chilly winters day!
After a full days exploring you can look forward to returning to your cosy cottage for an evening in front of the log burner. Perfect for a pre Christmas family or romantic break with your loved ones!

Delighted to share our wonderful guest review with you 😁
“The propery was very clean and tidy and the little extra touches were lovely, such as the toy for Dudley and the cake. Sonia is one thoughtful lady and you can tell that she prides herself on delivering excellent customer service for her guests. I would not hesitate to recommend Puddleduck Cottages to others and have already done so. We ate at the Black Swan one night (we took Dudley with us), the next night we made p...izza on the BBQ and then we cooked on the final night. I took Dudley on local walks, some that you recommended and others that weren’t planned per se; we walked to the Iron Bridge one day to have cream tea and sausage rolls – yum. We went to the Maws centre for a spot of cake. My mum intended on visiting a gin distillery; although by the looks of the bags it seemed more like a massive gin shop!”

Yet another wonderful stay at puddle duck cottage. It really is my most favourite place in the uk. Everything is perfect the added extras just sumptuous imagine arriving after a long drive to wine, cake a fridge stocked with the basics needed so if you don't fancy the wine a cup of tea is there to hand. I won't mention any other extras since it's such a lovely surprise when you get there. Both the owner and the housekeeper go more than the extra mile to ensure you do not want for anything. Very much looking forward to my Christmas stay when I have both cottages to enjoy a large family festive time.

User

Would highly recommend Puddle duck cottages, we've stayed three times already and booked again to return. Everything about the cottage (both of them) is perfect, and Sonia certainly goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We have a beagle and a toddler and we can stay with the peace of mind that both will be safe and happy. There's lots to do in the area, plenty of dog friendly pubs and lovely scenic walks.

User

What an excellent place to stay especially if you have a dog! Marley Beagle would highly recommend as he had special doggy treats waiting for him as did his humans!! They thoroughly enjoyed their goodies too. We all enjoyed the home comforts, the local walks and the dog friendly pubs! We have booked again. Can't wait!! Fran & John

User

What a wonderful, welcoming and very homely cottage! Thank you for those added touches of delicious fresh bread, cake and wine. The 3 furry fiends Harry, Koopa and Fudge aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrooooooo for their biscuits and toys. You made our short stay so memorable and special and we wish Honey could have been here too. We love the tranquillity and serenity of the Ironbridge Gorge and the amazing walks. Thank you ever so much, we can't wait to come back soon. Raising a glass to you xxx

We have just had a long weekend at Puddleduck Cottage and loved it. From the minute we arrived we felt at home. The cottage is beautiful with everything you need and the beds are so comfortable! Our beagle Barney loved it and the surrounding area and walks were perfect. Lots of dog friendly pubs serving delicious food all within easy walking distance. The cake, wine and card on arrival for our Silver Wedding were so thoughtful and delicious, we enjoyed them sat chilling in the garden. We will definitely return.

User

We have just got back from our stay at puddle ducks. The cottages are very clean. It feels very homely and the beds are very comfortable. It was very nice to arrive to the heating and lamps on to make it feel cosy. There were also treats, towels and a toy left for the dogs. Then cake, wine, bread, butter eggs and milk for us. The enclosed front and rear gardens are great for the dogs. There was also plenty of parking.

User

We had the most perfect stay at Duckling Cottage!

My parents and I have had a particularly hard year and knowing we had this holiday to look forward to was a huge deal for us. It has also been Chilli (our beagle)'s first holibobs! This meant that PDC had a lot to live up to - it didn't disappoint!

Sonia and Darren had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. The welcome pack was much appreciated (there were fresh bread, milk and eggs, a chocolate cake, tea, coffee, sugar and cookies as well as a lovely bottle of wine! There were also beautiful flowers in the kitchen and a new toy and treats for Chilli the beagle, who made herself at home immediately!

The whole cottage is beautifully decorated and so cosy! The beds are super comfortable, too.

Also having an enclosed garden was amazing because it meant Chilli could roam about and have a sniff each morning before we went out.

There is so much to do in the area! We had never been to this part of the country before and have reqlly fallen in love with it. We were only here for 4 days so we visited Ironbridge, Much Wenlock, Bridgnorth and Ludlow. These are all gorgeous places and there's loads more to do and see than what we had time to do.

The area in general is really dog friendly - we went out to eat 3 of the 4 nights and took our dog with us. We really liked the Half Moon Inn which was really relaxed and the Woodbridge Inn where the food was extra special. We also had a takeaway from the Zengh Indian restaurant which was delicious!

I'd recommend the cottages to anyone (with or without a dog!) as it's a fabulous place to relax and unwind and for sight seeing too! We would love to come back, especially Chilli!

The biggest of thank yous for looking after us and I hope we can come back soon!

Have just come back from an amazing long weekend at Puddle Duck cottage. From start to finish it was lovely the cottage was beautiful and just felt like being at home. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need. The area is very dog friendly and there are many pubs to visit. We have been extremely lucky with the weather and have felt like we have been away for ages. Herby our dog is completely warn out and is snoring away. Thank you for making it a lovely weekend. User

A fabulous return visit but this time in the bigger cottage with our 3 beagle bums.

We love these 2 cottages, a real home from home with some excellent extras which makes this place extra special. It's really hard to find such a good standard of accommodation that accept dogs, you would never know that any other dogs have stayed here prior to a stay, it's immensely neat and clean.

There are some brilliant walks right on the doorstep along with good dog friendly pubs.

We will be back next year for visit number 3!!
