“Absolutely love this place. Easily my favourite Irish pub for miles around the area. Enjoyed some great new drinks over the weekend too.”
Always nice to get feedback like this on a Monday morning! 😎
In a West End town...
We need more like this , bar prices up compared to others but I would rather pay the extra for the better atmosphere ...music spot on ....v v busy at bar area later on ...just need wc floors sorting ....very wet .....overall....by far best in town well done to all.
Truly awesome bar, amazing atmosphere, fantastic range of drinks, great music and super friendly staff...
I hear people bang on about the price of some drinks, yes it’s more expensive than most places in town, but so what you get what you pay for an brings in the type of clientele you want... You want £2 a pint and a bunch of knobs around you go somewhere else, want a bit of class then pay for it, simples...
Just read the previous reviews and thought to myself "that cannot be the same bar I/we where in on Saturday ". If it is, they have made fantastic steps to improve on the negativity reported in previous comments. The staff were very friendly , attentive and courteous whist under pressure during a real busy surge that occurred around 11. The atmosphere in the place was electric, the music was so good I actually got off my ass and danced ( something that doesn't happen to often). If I was ever in St Helens again I would definitely go back for a night out. Keep up the good work guys and thanks for a great night.

No Smithwicks. Sorry but you can't call your self an Irish bar if you don't serve Smithwicks. Been in hundreds of Irish bars from Donegal to Cork and Dublin to Galway. And every one served Smithwicks.
Nice bar, promising, but VERY expensive, also we went in on Saturday afternoon (the week before Christmas), only 2 behind the bar, one of them tied up making coffees, the other one on the phone half the afternoon !
Not slating the place, as they’ve done a good job kitting it out, but in the New Year once the ‘novelty’ has worn off, you’ll struggle if you don’t cut your prices and increase you’re staff !!!
Called in Saturday night ordered a Vodka & Tonic, when i tasted it there was no Vodka in it, took it back the girl put me another Vodka in still couldnt taste it, it was just tonic, asked to speak to the manager to complain, a young girl came to me said she was the manager!!! got the bouncer of the door to stand with her, i told her the problem to which she picked up my glass & smelled it & said it was Vodka like it or buy another, her attitude was disgraceful !!!!! others tasted it & agreed with me, definitely no Vodka in it just draught tonic, god knows what was in the Vodka bottle but it definitely wasn't Vodka, not a right way to run a bar!!!!!
One of the most expensive bars I have ever been to in st helens. £20 for two low grade whiskeys.... when I enquired about it, i was told we just charge more. A shameful answer to a reasonable question. They also spent most of their time not serving customers and testing their own drinks. The person that served me didn't even work there as they were to busy getting drunk off cocktails.
Not an Irish pub and double the price of an Irish pub. Wouldn’t go again, Irish bars in Liverpool so much nicer and have real Irish music
Lovely place shitty attitude from manager could have resolved the problem her self in stead of calling a door man over, needs to do more customer service skills, from were I was standing my friend wasn't been rude to the staff and wasn't been rude to the manager if anything I felt the manager was been patronising towards my friend, the situation could have been delts better than upsetting my friend.
