Pups R Impawtant is a new Dog Training and behavioural advice company, with a wealth of proven result based experience behind it. We pride ourselves on training dogs in a sympathetic and encouraging manner, using motivation and positive re-enforcement techniques.

Our aim is to improve the quality of life of both the animal AND the owner. We also offer a grooming and trimming service, and a dog sitting or walking service if required


Chief Trainer /Owner:

David Brightley is a former Sgt Squadron Dog Inspector for the RAF Police, and has nearly Thirty years experience working with Multi Classifications and breeds of Military Working Dogs. David has trained and handled Police Dogs, Search and Tracker dogs including Drugs Detection, and his specialty Arms Explosives Search Dogs.

An expert trainer in obedience and agility, he has been the RAF Champion Handler, and handled dogs in all the modern operational hotspots in the world, including Northern Ireland, Afghanistan, and Kosovo. He has also trained a wide range of individuals from all walks of life over many years, and is a registered instructor for the Kennel Club’s Good Citizen Dog Scheme, and qualified in studying aggressive pet behaviour.

David posses a unique passionate personality that resonates with both animals and people, and has a natural affinity with dogs, and a personable way of instructing and helping the owners better understand their animal.

David lives in Cambridgeshire with his wife Beverley, daughter Rebecca, and retired Arms Explosives Search Dog Marcus the Springer Spaniel – an operational Veteran with numerous confirmed finds on his record, and handled by David during Herrick 15.
