WITNESS APPEAL:
Officers investigating a car fire in Upton that is believed to have been started deliberately are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
The fire service was called at around 2.30am this morning, Monday 1 July 2019, to reports of a vehicle fire involving a black Mitsubishi Shogun in Upton Heath Estate.... Following investigations it is believed the cause of the fire was deliberate and police are making enquiries into the incident. The Mitsubishi was severely damaged by the fire and two other vehicles, which were parked nearby, also sustained damage.
Local officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the Upton Heath Estate area in the early hours of this morning, as well as anyone who may have CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage of the incident, to contact them.
