Homeopathy is a widely used and effective system of medicine. As a safe and gentle healing practice it treats everyone as an individual and can enhance your general health, immunity, restore vitality and improve emotional wellbeing. It takes a holistic and individualistic approach.

Homeopathy stimulates the body’s own self-healing potential and treats the person rather than the disease. Homeopathy is suitable for everyone due to the highly diluted substances.

Homeopathy was refined by chemist and doctor Samuel Hahnemann. He found that if his remedies were potentised through dilution and succussion (shaken), not only were the side effects reduced but also the remedies were also more effective. This process creates a pure and gentle healing stimulus, whilst retaining the inherent imprint of the chosen substance.

It works on the principle that ‘likes treats like’. Any substance that causes symptoms in healthy person can treat those same symptoms in disease.

The remedies are obtained from plant, chemical, mineral and animal kingdoms.

I have obtained a CACDP Stage Two Certificate in British Sign Language.

If you have an interpreter attending the consultation, please notify me so that I can arrange the consultation room accordingly.

COST

Adult: First Consultation (One hour) £85

Adult: Follow-up Consultations (30 minutes) £50

Children under 10: First Consultation (One hour) £65

Children under 10: Follow-up Consultations (30 minutes) £40

Children: I normally recommend that children be seen separately in individual appointments.

Your consultation fee includes all medicines prescribed except for creams and ointments (If creams or ointments are advised then I will provide information of places to purchase).

Payment is due in cash or cheque.

Phone Consultation

I am able to provide follow-up consultations over the phone if necessary. The charges for a phone consultation are the same as an appointment charged at practice premises.

Phone Calls

I do not charge patients for phone-calls. This is included in the treatment fee.

All patients are welcome to discuss their treatment, seek advice or receive treatment for acute complaints.

It may occur that I will have to limit the length of a phone-call due to the nature of a busy practice, but I will endeavour to provide all my patients with the support they require.

Home Visit Consultation

Home Visit consultations are charged at the same rate as an appointment in practice premises accompanied with an additional fee to cover travelling expenses.

Costs for consultancy can be obtained by contacting Michael J. Bird at Pure Essence Homeopathy.

Cancellation Fee

I do not charge a cancellation fee, as I understand that there are many circumstances that can arise to make an appointment impossible to attend.

If you do have to cancel an appointment could you please be aware that if I have as much notice as possible then it can allow another patient to fill your allotted time.
