About Puttenham Golf Club
Puttenham is a friendly member owned Golf Club that welcomes golfers of all ages and abilities.
Puttenham Golf Club Description
Welcome to Puttenham one of the oldest and finest golf clubs in the South East which was formed in 1894 by a group of Army Officers, Charterhouse School Masters and local businessmen. Whether it was a strategic military decision or just luck they chose well when deciding to build it on land that drained naturally. Puttenham is proud of it's reputation as a one of the friendliest clubs in the south east. Our 18 hole tree lined course is both challenging and picturesque and playable even in the wettest months. An ideal venue for wet weather golf when other local clubs are waterlogged or closed.
A well equipped professional's shop offers buggy and trolley hire as well as up to the minute teaching technology from our two PGA trained professionals. There are practice facilities and a driving range. The Clubhouse offers a warm welcome, hearty home cooked meals which are prepared on site daily as well as a fully licensed bar where members and visitors alike can relax and discuss what might have been! .
Full membership at Puttenham works out at around £25. 50 per week with 5-day membership costing just over £21. 50 per week. Full and 5-day members also have free weekday access to a number of other courses within about an hour's drive of Puttenham as well as discounted green fees at some of the more local clubs. Puttenham has active Mens, Seniors, Ladies, Mixed and Junior sections with a full programme of competitions and matches. Our Flexi Membership offers golf to fit modern lifestyles. As a Members' Club, all surplus income is reinvested in the course and facilities.
