Wishing everyone a happy Christmas
The drums would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!
As promised here are some photos of the drums meeting and performing for Queen Margarethe at the Anglo-Danish banquet on Wednesday 4th December
The drums had fun on Wednesday when they had the huge honour to play for Queen Margrethe of Denmark who was the patron of the Queen's regiment (she is still the patron of the PWRR's) at a banquet in London. Here they are having a well earned break just before going into the banquet hall to do their display. As soon as we have the official photos we will share them with you all.

Some of the drums had fun last night at the 1st battalion Queens regiment annual reunion in Herne bay. It was great to catch up with some fantastic guys 😃🥁🍺
It is with a very heavy heart that we have to announce that we lost one of our own today. Ray was a true gent who had a passion for drumming, whether that was on a military side drum or his beloved drum kit. His knowledge and expertise was second to none. He had a love of re-enactment especially Waterloo. If ever anyone had a question or just needed someone to talk to Ray was your guy. He will be missed dearly by not only us in the corps of drums but by those who ever had the pleasure to meet him. Our love, thoughts and prayers go out to Nanette and all of his family at this very very sad time. Rest in peace now Ray, until we meet again x
Last night the drums were at their second home the saracens head in deal where we raised £560 for the benevolent fund. The drums have dedicated the performance to one of their own Ray Downes. Yesterday we had the devastating news that Ray has been moved to a hospice as his cancer is now terminal. With the wishes of his wonderful wife Nanette she has asked us to inform anyone who knows Ray of this news. Ray has been with us since we formed, he is not only a dedicated and important team member but he is also a great friend who has been there for all of us. Nanette has said if anyone who knows Ray would like an update then please contact her on 0208 306 2725. All of the members of the corps of drums are sending their love to all of the family at this difficult time and especially to Ray 💙💂♂️🥁🥁
The drums will be performing this coming Friday at the Saracens Head in Deal, why not come along and share in the St George's day celebrations
