We were booked for 3 nights and had a Lovely room, we was told about a wedding on the saturday night but they had put us as far away as possible. Have to say we never heard a thing. Would recommend this hotel very handy for bars and restaurants and not disturbed by any noice from the lively town only a few meters away.

User

We enjoyed every minute! The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. The room was great, the comfiest bed I've ever slept in! We could hear the clubs until early hours, but that's no fault of the hotel. The Only comment I would make is that it got a bit warm in the room at night, a fan would be nice (personal preference) but otherwise it's brilliant. The leisure centre is definitely a highlight of our stay! Could stay in there all day. The gym instructor was very attentive to us and all guests and did a great job.

Thank you! We will definitely be back soon...

User

We came for a visit with my Guide Dog and from reception to dining room to bar staff to domestics nothing was too much trouble. If I needed to suggest anything would be a disabled toilet in the ladies changing room should a VIP with GD using the facility there isn't enough room for both owner and dog. Having said that I did find the gym, changing room and pool after learning the layout brilliant! So much so we have become members.

Thank you all for everything and see you again soon.

User

Very clean in all areas, helpful and friendly staff, really enjoyed the breakfast and leisure club with nice warm pool. Beds were comfy and didn't find it noisy on Saturday night. Great value and would recommend.

User

Our large group attended the Christmas Party Night on 9/12 i must say the food was lovely and the timing between each course was perfect, the DJ played some good songs that got everyone on the dance floor, there was about 100 people in the room that appeared to be having a good time also, fantastic time had by all, would we attend another Christmas party night at the Quality Hotel .. Absolutely

User

Me and my fiance spent a weekend at the hotel the prices were brilliant and the room was a lot bigger than expected and the staff are really helpful

User

Great hotel friendly staff nice clean room booked a double room for 35 squid , free use of pool and steam/ sauna free parking for 35 squid its an absolute bargain will stay there again when next in staffordshire

User

Very good value for money. I spent ages researching hotels before I booked this one as I am on a tight budget and couldn't believe the price for two nights. As it was cheap I wasn't expecting too much but I was very pleasantly surprised. Sandra on reception was lovely, friendly and very helpful, especially as I kept asking questions. The room was basic but ideal for me and the bed was really comfy. The fact that the hotel had facilities was an added bonus as I like to swim. My only criticism is that the changing rooms could do with a refurbishment, especially one of the benches which has a lot of chipped paint and just replacing that would make a real difference. I couldn't get a breakfast there unless I pre-booked and it was a full English breakfast, so I had to go out for breakfast. I had an evening meal in Bennetts bar and it was very tasty. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely go back.

User

I went Quality hotel last night for works do. I really enjoy it but the food wasn't that good. it wasn't worth £32! the main meal was a disappointment! But everything else great

User

Honestly for the money we paid I thought it was pretty good value for money. The hotel is a little out dated, but it was clean, our room was very big with a double and a sofa bed. Had all the little hotel additions - kettle, tea, coffee, milk etc. Hairdryer, plenty of towels. The view wasn't all too great, but all we wanted was a room for the night and that's what we got.

The lady on reception apologised about the loud music as there was a wedding on but honestly from our room 124 - we couldn't hear anything. The car park is handy, £5 for 24 hours.

All in all, can't complain. (We didn't eat in the hotel as there's a few restaurants down the road)

User

Good location, very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast. Changing rooms in leisure club are a bit tired and the water ib the Jacuzzi was too hot so we only stayed in for 20 minutes, lol, definitely a first world problem. Seriously though, we would definitely stay here again

User

We stayed one night at a cost of £74 including £5 parking, breakfast not included.

The room was supposed to be a double, small bed to us.

We were in a room onto the main road which was extremely hot, although a fan was supplied it wasn't sufficient and we needed to keep the windows open.

Unfortunately I was still awake listening to the rowdy folk fighting, arguing in the street up until 4am.

Not the hotels fault, but bear this in mind if you are given a room on the road side.

Extremely pleasant and helpful staff.

The room we had was tired and in need of an upgrade.

Average at best.

User

We had a good time the room was nice, we had great food and fun in the bar, the windows rattled when left open amd it was a very hot room, we had the window closed but still got woken up all hours by people outside our room and in the street by our window with horns of some sort, I didn't sleep for more than a hour, it wasn't great, the shower didn't really work either. I'm glad we only stayed for the one night

User

I attended a works do at the Quality Hotel on the evening of Friday, 22nd December & the food was nice & the DJ good. What wasn’t good is having the ladies’ Disabled Toilet In with the regular ones, it just meant abled bodied girls went in there messing around. The Disabled Toilet wasn’t a raised toilet & the signs to accessing it & the building for disabled people wasn’t very clear. The worse thing of all was having to pay £8 even tho I was parked in the Disabled bays attending a function ... extortionate price!

User

Quality is such a subjective term....

Really in need of refurbishment. Shower was terrible and the bath had defunct jacuzzi fittings which cut me while I had a bath.

Told off at breakfast for arriving at an inconsiderate time when we had been told at reception that breakfast was on until 9.30 and we went at 8.50. Unbelievable.

Sofa bed terrible although main bed was comfortable. Walls are thin and I could hear someone in the next room all night.

User

i normally stay here every Halloween 31 at this time of year and go out and rember my father who passed away tryd book last week and this week all rooms booked out for conferences members mabby you should consider the

everyday normal members of the public instead of letting mass booking like this take all the rooms

its disgusting

User

Quality! Quality my arse! Cobwebs in our room! Mouldy bath! Food was terrible! Never again

User

Only gave it one star because I had to give it something. Absolutely horrible customer service; lie about things to cover their own backs. The staff that are lovely are mostly new, I could imagine the turn over isn’t great. Very outdated and just wouldn’t go back.

User

Nothing quality about this place.

Stayed here numerous times because I live 40 miles away and work in the town on a Saturday night, last night I was a little drunk, and apparently there was some vomit on the quilt, I got home to a voicemail being told (in a very rude manor by the woman) that my card was being charged £90 for the replacement quilt, yes,£90 for a quilt.

So I rang them back up and spoke to a manager called Adam (no help at all) to be told they couldn't use the room the night after we checked out because they wanted to do a deep clean in the room which involved cleaning all carpets and bedding etc. So when I questioned if the hotel was even close to being full that night I got told It was regardless, I had to pay for the room. When he said about the quilt being cleaned I questioned as to why I was paying £90 if they weren't even going to replace it, which he then had absolutely nothing to say. I can totally understand being charged for replacing the quilt by being charged for a deep clean and the room for the night is an absolute joke. Had 9 rooms booked for a stag do in 3 weeks so they have been cancelled. Staff were very very rude through the whole conversations between reception and Adam, which was no use at all.

Besides that night, the rooms are outdated, built in 1900 and not touched anything since by the looks of it, only good thing about this hotel is the location.

And after being told they're not replacing the Quilt,if you're lucky enough to stay in room 216 just be careful, that has had sick on it and they haven't replaced it. Will never ever stay here again, would rather pay double to stay somewhere a lot nicer.

Breakfast is also absolutely awful, not worth 11p let alone £11 each.
