Did you know that the D in Leonardo da Vinci stood for Derby?
Okay that may not be true, but Derby can now bost that is has played host to the work of arguably the most famous artist of them all!
... Starting today, 12 of Leonardos 144 drawings are being desplayed at the Derby Museum and Art Gallery.
The exhibit is named A Life in Drawing, and it shows us some less famous pieces, from the man that gave us the Mona Lisa.
Derby is one of 12 locations chosen to take part in this, and alongside places such as Birmingham, Liverpool, and Cardiff, it will display these drawings until the 6th of May.
After this they shall be moved down the the Queens Gallery in London.
Not really legal news, but exciting for Derby nontheless!

Good news for Tenants!
Due to an upcoming change in the law regarding rented properties, we shall soon see the back of one of the most irritating part of Renting.
Admin Fees
... On the 1st of June this year the updated Tenant Fees Bill comes into play, bringing with it a few major changes to the renting process in the UK.
The main interest for tenants will be the abolishing of Admin fees, and the limiting of security deposits.
Currently Admin Fees will be charged by the Estate Agent through the application phase of renting. This can vary in pricings depending on the agent. Some may only charge £50 per person, but there have been cases of some charging up to £120 or above!
As mentioned above, a limitation on deposit shall also be introduced. Currently landlords can charge up to 6 weeks of rent (on properties where the annual rent is less than £50,000). This will be lowered to 5 weeks from June. Whilst not a major reduction, for properties of £550 a month, it would save you £137.50.
These have been implemented to try to make renting a more affordable option to those who need it, with the logic being that less saving would be needed to get into rented accomodation.
This is not an abolishment of all fees however. Landlords & Estate Agents will still be able to charge for things such as Replacement Keys & Security devices, and in some cases utllities.
All in all this bill is mainly positive for tenants, and something to keep in mind if you are looking to start renting in the upcoming months!
