As well as using 100% compostable takeaway packaging we also encourage our suppliers to stop using single-use and non-recyclable plastics, by requesting that where possible all of our ingredients are delivered in either reusable or recyclable containers. Plus, we recently switched to only selling drinks in cans, including sparkling and still water.

We ALWAYS go here when in Whitby! Its the ONLY place we go and they have consistently been fab for the last 16 years! :) Why go anywhere else?? :) Keep up the good work guys x :0 My other favourite part is there is always at least one familiar face! :) tells me they treat their employees well for them to be there for years x :)

Visited with my family and 2 year old daughter 2 weeks ago. We had a fabulous experience! The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I had sea bass from the specials menu and my daughter had a smaller version. We both loved it. Sea bass wasn't on the children's menu but the chef had no problem in doing a small version for her. Thank you so much! We'll be back very soon!

These guys really helped out our huge party of guests this lunchtime and they couldn't have been more accommodating. The food was lovely, the staff were brilliant. Thank you so much, we will definitely be returning.

The fish and chips were lovely. They were lovely and fresh and hot. The curry sauce is really nice .The staff all seem very young but they are very polite and friendly . Best in Whitby I’d say

Our first visit here tonight. I was so happy to see you do gluten free fish and chips and they were delicious! Lovely helpful staff too x

My toddler has multiple allergies (dairy, soya and gluten) and eating out can be a nightmare! We visited here today by chance and found a knowledgeable staff team, a very user friendly allergy menu, and the plate came out with a flag in it so there was no mistaking it was the allergy plate! And to top that off, the gluten free fish was EVERY BIT as lovely as the "normal" one! Thankyou for a lovely stress free meal �

Me and the wife stopped in for a fish with mushy peas. We were seated and served within 10 mins. The staff were polite and informative and our meal was delicious. Will definitely be returning again but for full meal next time.

Had the best fish & chips & mushy peas here on Saturday ! Always usually get a takeout and sit on the pier with my partner but opted to sit in and so glad we did , got seated straight away served with 2 pots of tea and meal on the table within 10 minutes , lovely fish best I had in a long time will definitely be visiting again �

Great fish and chips served within 10 minutes of sitting down. Also the young guy who served us had great customer service skills. I'd definitely eat there again.

Fantastic service from the staff and the food is fresh, hot and very tasty.

Decided to have fish and chips inside. We were seated straight away. Staff extremely friendly. Got our drinks quickly. We both had cod chips and mushy peas.

The food was first class best fish and chips ever. Would highly recommended.

Came for fish & chips with the parents yesterday, was by far the best I've had. Batter was nice & light, the fish was tasty and fresh, homemade chips & THE best homemade tartar sauce I've ever had �

Was 100% delighted to come in here and see healthy options available had a wonderful grilled salmon with new potatoes and it was delicious x only downside is I tried to tell the waitress how impressed I was as was wanting to give positive praise and feedback at the time but she couldn’t understand English which was such a shame as my comments to share were only good ones of the highest praise! So left without being able to say great job �

Thought it was a little expensive I've had bigger fish for less money back home in Notts so for that reason 4* staff were polite and friendly. I would recommend and I would go back.
