I found I had a hernia pop out my stomach, went to Katie rd on the Tuesday evening, advised id need an operation and to go to A&E. By the weds by 3pm I had the operation, and was out by 9pm . I can't complain about anything at all from the hospital and the staff. I got an operation, food (not restaurant food but nutritional food)care, a cleaner, drinks, medication, shower facilities, hourly checks for my wellbeing.... 3 times I've been in for different things and I've never been disappointed. They care and feed for 1000s and I think they do a bloody good job
My gripe is the people who endanger themselves by drinking, smoking etc and moan about the care they get.. And being in A&E I noticed a call to 111 and maybe a trip to the pharmacy would be enough in my opinion

This is a brilliant hospital and in my experience very effective and amazingly on the ball as far as aftercare goes. Staff is on the whole lovely, attentive and caring. OK food could be somewhat improved but is not so bad. If there is something I could criticise it's the standard of cleanliness, scope for improvement there

As a patient, I received the most outstanding care from amazing; dedicated; hard working and caring members of staff. I was so impressed that I felt I was in a private hospital (not that I have received private care; can only assume that's what private care would be like). They worked diligently - nothing ever too much trouble - they were always on top of their duties and always on time in giving the right medication and knew what had been given before.
I saw a doctor twice a day everyday. All members of staff had a smile on their face and were always willing to spare a few minutes to chat with you, even though they were busy. This goes from the housekeeping staff all the way up to the medical staff.
The hospital is clean and the food for the patients and visitors is superb and what a choice!!
From appointments as an outpatient to my stay and treatment as an inpatient on the ward - I have been blown away by how well run and how brilliant and caring and knowledgable the staff are.
I will never forget my time with the QE as it has been an extremely positive experience. Everyone who has a part to play in the care of the patients from non medical to medical deserve a huge thank you and a well done. They deserve to be told what a brilliant job they are doing.

Nobody likes going into a hospital but this place is amazing. The place is super clean all the staff were very nice and patient and the technology being used is really incredible. Check out the pharmacy robots and the special digitising notepaper.

An excellent NHS hospital that saved my life literally. Its a wonderful place full of helpful people. In September 2017 I attended the East Block Day Unit for a procedure to correct my squint. All of the staff from the Unit were exceptionally professional and very cheerful people to meet :)

This is a mixed review. The Head and Neck cancer team are amazing. 5 stars. The Radiotherapy Team are efficient and caring 5 stars. Ward 620, the chemotherapy team, are SO DISORGANISED it is at odds with the rest of the hospital. We have received an abundance of contradictory and dangerously confused information (all in the margins, in a rushed pre-assessment). One spends 10 hours in the ward, weekly, for a couple of hours worth of chemo. That's the second of 2 visits per week. The first is for bloods that you have to book according to one nurse. The other nurse said we did not have to book. Booking isn't easy as the booking team don't answer the phone. Or you have to wait outside the booking office having rang a bell which makes you feel like a nuisance. The booking team also get the dates wrong requiring intervention from family. How an ill person with no family to try to unpick the chaos on their behalf (which isn't easy even if you are an organisation development consultant) copes I will never know. Come on ward 620, get your act together like the rest of this wonderful hospital.

I attended the Ambulatory care until today for minor surgery to my fingers on my left hand after a silly accident.
Has you can imaging the thought to go into hospital and having the end of two fingers repaired is not something you normal write about. But, what a fantastic place.

Friendly and welcoming without losing the Professionalism.... These are just a few words which describe my experience today.

Thank you to everyone from the meet and greet team to the surgeon and theatre staff to the nurses on the ward and not forgetting the cleaners and maintenance guys who keep the Queen Elizabeth hospital a place you can attend knowing you are in safe hands for your treatment.

Once again guys....

A HUGH THANK YOU.
