So slow service. I came with my toe smashed and had to wait more than 3 hours on a horrible pain. I don't understand where all those taxes go.

Friendly helpful staff - was so impressed as I was a very nervous patient and yet they all looked after you and explained each step.

The consultant was lovely she was so kind and put me at my ease.

The hospital was run very smoothly.

I went into QE2 on Friday night with a Cyst that was turning into an abscess. Unfortunately I turned up too late so the GP has left. They referred me to Lister because of the infection. After spending 6 and a half hours in lister they didn't look at my back they just threw antibiotics at me and told me to leave. After spending 24 hours in excruciating pain I called the 111 service yesterday morning for help, I instantly got a call from a GP from QE2 and then an appointment 30 minutes later.

I was in the waiting room at the QE2 for no more than 10 minutes the GP was the man I spoke to on the phone, he listened to me, checked my back, my temperature which was 40/37. Instead of just throwing the antibiotics at me, he gave me instructions on what to do, pain medication so I could cope. I was in the QE2 no more than 20 minutes. I have never left when visiting hospitals etc that I wasn't actually taken seriously (I have quite a few medical problems) QE2 actually made me feel like I'm being taken seriously and that I didn't need to keep constantly fighting to get it done. ❤

Worst hospital ever aparantly a person with a cut on hand is more important than a person with breathing dificultys... avoid!m

Fantastic care , gentle ,hard working staff
We arrived on a busy afternoon and even though we were not seen for three hrs after checking in and seeing nurse ,we were keeped well informed .
Result was a chipped bone

Went for a blood test today. I was seen within 5 minutes of arriving and it all went without a hitch. I'd had a previous blood test in the portacabin and there was a pretty long wait even if you arrived early and I needed 3 nurses to find a vein. I've used the new QEII several times, as an out patient and the urgent care centre and I've been impressed every time.

The old QEII was great and really worked well.
Now they have knocked it down and replaced it with this.
My sister went on to the protests against closure.
The Lister Hospital simply cannot cope.
Sometimes I wonder what planet these NHS planners are on...not ours!!!

It is sad that the old QEII is being knocked down when I was born there but I have to live with it. The new QEII is quite nice but I prefer the older one.

First appointment and visiting outpatients dept at QE2 I was kept waiting 1hr 30mins past my appointment time. Second visit now months later and yet again I'm being kept waiting an hour. What's the point of having an appointment time if they have no respect to keeping it. Absolutely useless!

Much different to the old qe2 but very modern clean and found i didn't have to wait long to be seen .Downside there is no AE department.
