Went there tonight for meal with my wife and fish was realy lush and chips served with salad just as gd. Only issue for me i could of done with bigger curry sauce portion apart from that everthing was brilliant staff were friendly and even check it food was to are satisfaction. I will be coming back and reccomend you to friends and family �

Ordered gluten free cod and chips tonight- amazing! Rang ahead to let them know that GF was required and it was ready and waiting, piping hot with crispy batter and flaky fish. Cannot express how joyous it is to be able to eat and fully enjoy fantastic quality GF food...not a single crumb left! � Thanks very much. ��

My first visit here tonight, and it won’t be my last.

The food tasted amazing, and was quickly served, service was fantastic and friendly staff.

We ate in, and had breaded mushrooms to start, followed by small cod and chips, which comes with tartar sauce and mushy peas as standard. £7.85 which I though was great value for a restaurant. The portions are a good size and I’m nicely stuffed - I can’t even fit in a pudding!

Very nice curry sauce too!

I would definitely recommend it.

My family has been in fish and chips since 1900 , I don’t eat fish and chips unless it’s from one of our shops in Lincolnshire

Tonight we tried queens and have to say it the haddock ,chips and peas were beautifully cooked !! , our second visit blooming lovely and well worth the money . Good service and lovely waitress service thanks we will return .

I’d give it 9 out of 10 .

Fish and chips is my favourite food and to find somewhere I can eat it and like it without a 160 mile round trip is a big bonus !!

Had the most amazing haddock/cod and chips meals ever! Myself, my 2 children and my parents all enjoyed it immensely. The service we received was excellent too. We will most certainly be dining in your restaurant again and will thoroughly recommend you to all of our other family and friends. Thank you very much indeed

Came across a post on a GF fish and chip page to say Queens catered for GF fish and chips. Had lived in Gloucester 18 months and hadnt realised it was only round the corner. It was a great meal, cooked fresh to order and was more than enough for me to eat. I would highly recommend eating in as the staff were friendly and the food and drink prices were very reasonable. Will be back again soon

We have always enjoyed our meals there and the staff are pleasant . We also go because you offer gluten free , but unfortunately you were unable to provide this on sat eve , we were told we could only have gluten free chips . So I asked if our guest could have un battered fish . Which you were happy to do a pity it wasn't suggested to us . But everyone was happy and food was good

I have been going to queens since it opened,today I went for our normal,so I told the person serving me,could he please make sure my curry sauce is closed properly as last week the lid was not fitted correctly,as last week it spilled all out over the food and also over my car seat,he basically ignored me,chatting away to the other server.and at the end I can't make my mind up did he throw the bag at me or did it slip out of his hand.not a happy customer.but may I just say your food is excellent.

Good portion sizes, nice and hot, clean environment, food tasted good........ But curry sauce portion and tartar sauce were miniscule. My biggest bug though tonight in the restaurant was one of the waitresses dealing with food had long hair wafting around. In a food environment it should be tied back at all times.

Went for a works Xmas meal last night. There was 12 of us and the food was gorgeous. However when it came to pay for our meal we all paid individually and the last person to pay was told there was another meal still left that hadn't been paid for. This was settled but when returning to work this morning we have all discussed it and have found that we have paid for 13 meals and someone was even charged for a drink they didn't have. Really not happy with this at all because we were adamant at the time it had all paid, but were told this was wrong. Definitely put me off going back.

Service tonight left a bit out - asked for 2 small cod and chips - when they arrived one was half the size of the other and when we asked them to change it the manager refused! But then stared out from the kitchen at us so we demanded it was changed and after a bit of argy bargy they reluctantly agreed. When we got the bill they had then charged us for a large and a small cod and chips so we queried why the bill did not reflect what we ordered we were told by the waitress that the manager had told her to charge us in this manner. We asked to speak with the manager only to be told he was not available surprise surprise and when forced they agreed to charge us correctly. Food was good - attitude of the owner / manager was appalling and the fact that he instructed the waitress to charge us for something we did not order was out of order. These guys know nothing about customer service and to try and pull the wool over a customers eyes in thus manner was way out of order. People like this give restaurants a bad name !

Went there because we were in the area..they are way over priced for bog standard food...the waitress looked us up and down as if we were an inconvenience to her...we then went to the take away side...well they had pies with no cover defrosting on a rack up on the wall...I asked if the pies were cooked through in an oven..oh yes the server said...so why was your mate trying to sneak it into a microwave...no one wants soggy pie at your prices..

Soggy blanched(pre or 1/2 cooked prior to a anticipated busy period) chips, majority stuck to the paper, no crispness at all.



'Large' Kebab was pretty small compared to other outlets in the city, minimal sub standard salad, 3 pieces of cucumber and 2 small bits of tomato, 2 pieces of lettuce and some long sliced onion, hardly any meat either. Overall construction of the Kebab was ordinary - makes me question whether the guy who made it actually knew what his was doing?



Disappointing, Won't be back.

My family have our been served raw fish again. Last time we used queens it as raw and thought we would try again few month later... still raw
